Length of recovery
It seems none of us are ever really prepared for the post-op recovery no matter how much you feel you've prepared for it or read..
Were you surprised by the length of your recovery or surprised by any particular part of it?

Re: Length of recovery
1st BA, I was surprised by how easy it was. I had hardly any pain, just a pulled muscle feeling. I'd read lots of stories beforehand about girls feeling like they had an elephant on their chest or had been run over by a bus!!! So I expected the pain to be awful.
2nd BA, I thought it would be easy again, but it was quite a lot more sore and painful, especially lefty, which I had revision to. Ouch!!!

Re: Length of recovery
As for recovery time, 1st BA I was 'normal' around 4 weeks, and 2nd BA, driving again at 5 weeks (took me 3 weeks for my 1st BA) and pretty much back to normal for everything by 8-9 weeks. The only thing I still don't do is, even now, is pick my hoover up the stairs to hoover upstairs as it is sooooooooo big and heavy! So I leave it until my dad pops over. x

Re: Length of recovery
I was suprised by how painless it was , nothing prepared me for the nipple sensitivity, I assumed because I recovered so well that I could do things but it really is gonna be 6 weeks before I can properly pick up my little man. The booby blues does hit everyone in its own way but in denial about it,
Lastly whether you are happy or not with the results the confidence from filling a bra is indescribable xx

Re: Length of recovery
1st ba recovered quite quickly even with unders, 2nd really took it our of me and thought was worse, 3rd with pocket revision was by far my easiest recovery.
Things I wasn't prepared for.. Morning boob, ! Being a hunchback and stooping for a week after. The boobie blues where I cried for a few days after for no reason or because I wondered why I put myself through it!
I was driving a week after 1st and 3rd ba and 2 weeks after 2nd.

I was surprised by how elated I was, even the pain didn't take away my joy at my new breasts ( sounds corny but true) I never felt agony, apart from the odd stabbing pains that did bring tears to my eyes, but i was surprised how quickly I stopped the pain medication. Wasn't prepared for the restrictions and the worry of over doing it all the time. Also how incapacitated I was for the first week with tiredness and light headedness

Re: Length of recovery
I was expecting it to be a lot harder and spent far too much money on ice packs and various other aids which I didn't end up needing. But obviously I'd rather it be that way round!
I'm now at 5 weeks and have felt completely recovered since week 3, but am waiting until next week to start going to the gym etc just in case :)

Re: Length of recovery
I was quite surprised at the lack of movement i had after even two weeks on getting a jacket of take me ages, the frustration of things like that can get to you, also didn't expect it to be sooo emotional i am not by any means a emotional person but there's so much going on at once its all excitement and nerves before then your a bit anxious and scared about how they will look after recovery.. literally roller coaster is the only word! But i dont regret it for a second

Re: Length of recovery
I was mostly surprised by the soreness of incisions and difficulty sleeping when i came off painkillers. But after day 12 I was completely back to normal and fine to lift the babies thank god xx

Re: Length of recovery
I was surprised at how well I healed and how little pain I was actually in after it was done. I was able to lift my arms and wash my hair myself etc. I expected to be in a lot more pain. Maybe it was because I had overs and I didn't get a very large implant, but it a nice surprise. I was surprised by how much my nipples and incisions hurt, though, but that was the worst of it for me. I was also surprised that I wished I had gone bigger, but I guess I should've seen that coming haha. Oh well, I love them anyways!

Re: Length of recovery
I tried to prepare myself for the worst....
But was surprised at how sore I felt, the morning boobs and the back pain was by by the worst part for me. I didn't drive for 2 weeks and didn't feel 'normal' till then!
I think because people say overs tend to have an easier recovery, I thought It would be easier! But it wasnt! Lol
Saying all of that, although it seems like forever, times really does fly by!
