Re: 4 days to go.....
Honestly..... My biggest fear is not the op..... It's that I don't feel happy with the results.....
The pain doesn't scare me..... I'm pretty tough
The ga doesn't worry me..... Iv had a couple before and been fine
But the thought of putting my body through this and not being happy with how the look scares me senseless..... I trust my surgeon but if I'm not happy or I suffer complications then there won't be a quick fix..... It's scares me to death :(
Xx

Re: 4 days to go.....
Firstly huge hug to you, all this is normal the week before the op my doubts set in big time!! I felt selfish with the money, my family having to wait for recovery, and just like you I thought there's no going back once it's done my body will be ruined, but I can honestly say from day one of op it's been painful, sad, frustrating, worrying but the difference in my confidence is amazing even in sports bras I'm proud of my body I enjoy putting clothes on and I've stopped looking at other people's boobs hee hee
I'm not going to tell you to go ahead with something that would be wrong but I think at least half the ladies on here has completely doubted they were doing the right thing days before the date xx

Don't get me wrong..... You couldn't stop me from doing now if you tried.... Lol
I would be devestated if someone told me I couldn't go ahead.... But the fear is insane....
What if I'm one of these girls who had a terrible recovery!! Lol
I'm trying to convince myself ill be a lucky one and it will be a breeze!
Xxx

Re: 4 days to go.....
Pain wise I was one of the lucky ones I was up doing makeup and hair from 5 am next day even nurses were shocked I had my shoulders all the way back and felt great, I had a really bad turn the day after and ended up in hospital there was nothing found except my pulse had dropped to 60 which for me is incredibly low, but I'm on beta blockers so I think it was a cross between those and the ga, if it wasn't for the bad turn my recovery has been incredible!! The hardest part is wanting to do more than I am supposed to not that I'm able. How are you with pain on the whole? Have you had kids? Xx

Re: 4 days to go.....
I have a six year old..... I found labour a breeze..... Only gas and air
I have tried to tell myself I can cope with the pain.... I have broken my ankle and dealt with that.....
I worry that I will ruin Christmas.... Christmas Day I will be 3 days post op.....
Can you compare the pain to anything?
Xxx

Re: 4 days to go.....
I reckon you may find it a breeze I've got 3 boys al gas and air I shouted dont get me wrong but managed fine, it's more of a tight feeling like when your milk comes in but double which is hard to describe but not pain as such. Morning boob that everybody goes on about is from going stiff no matter how uncomfortable it is get up and walk and the more you move the more you notice the pain subside. Ill be honest I found days 3 to 5 the most painful so Xmas day might be hard for you but capable I hope. I've tried to be as honest as possible but I can only go from my own experience. I really hyped myself up thinking the pain would be terrible and it really wasn't bad at all
One piece of advice finding a good comfy bra is most important and was my most painful part the bands can hurt, I'd recommend a macom front fasten they are 30 pound but I live in mine of a night it's so comfy getting out the sports bra of a night and putting the band free macom on and they dry in minutes on a rad highly highly recommend it sorry I'm a rambler once I get going lmao xx

Re: 4 days to go.....
It's all amazing advice :)
I have several bras.... Not a Macom but a couple if shock absorbers and a triumph. I also bought some really soft cotton ones which are less duly portible but I hope they will be a nice break every now and again from the super snug high impact bras.
I'm going to try and cope with paracetamol and neurogen as I worry cocodomal and codeine will make me poorly during the day,
I'm a tough cookie..,,.last Christmas Eve I had my tongue pierced and still managed my Christmas dinner then next day.
Thank you for your replies..., talking about my fears definitely helps xxx

Re: 4 days to go.....
I def agree that a good sports bra is def a must even if i take mine off for a but the pressure in my stitches is really painful
Im not going to lie the nipple pain i experienced was worth than any pain ive ever felt and my first daughter was born completely natural and my second by section but my spinal wore off and i felt everything.o
But everything else has just been kinda sore and the backache/morning boob terrible, I had unders though so not sure if ive been more painful cause of that and my husband has had to do everything in the house
I have been able to get my arms quite far up and even managed to wash my own hair over the bath the other night there and straighten my hair!!
We are all diff but really dont worry about it all and enjoy the experiance xx
