Opinions on size. implants etc
Now I know everyone will of course have different ideas about what suits certain frames, but I've struggled with anorexia since I was quite young (I've now maintained a healthy body weight since 2010 when I found out I was expecting my second child :) ) so I don't completely trust my own perception of body matters and there are just so many decisions to make for a BA. I *think* I'd like to be a DD, but then I hear so many people saying implants measure bigger than they look so maybe E would be better? Anyway I don't know so here are my stats and if anyone has any suggestions, opinions on size, type of implant I'd be very grateful to hear them! :)
5ft10
Size 8/10
34B before children (Too horrified to get measured since!lol). Have a loss of volume at the top of my chest and sadly the girls aren't as perky as they used to be. :(

Hun I think only a surgeon can recommend the correct size, type & placement for you, they take into account your measurements & existing tissue etc..

Organise a few consultations hunny as only a surgeon can give you advise on implant type, size, profile and placement to suit you ad whats achievable xx

As the girls have said speaking to a surgeon will give you the best idea of what size and profile. I wouldn't get caught up on sizes, instead take pictures of boobs you like to your consultation and discuss this with them. They should be able to offer you the size you need to achieve the look you want.
Re: Opinions on size. implants etc
Thanks girls. I was thinking I might book a consultation with Taimur Shoaib for January. Did you all speak to a few different surgeons before booking your BAs? I've only heard good things about him, but I don't know if it would be foolish of me to only book one consultation.

Go to a couple especially if they're free, as the surgeons may give you a different size option. Or you may gel with one better than another. X no harm in seeing more than babe. X

Do you know of anyone else in Scotland that would be worth looking into? I'd prefer not to travel too far because of the children if possible.x

There is a link in this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Elizabeth. You can use it to locate clinics in your area babe.
Call the clinics that you're interested in and request a list of surgeons that work in your area. You can then check their qualifications on the GMC register, this should then narrow down your list. You then google the last of the surgeons you're interested in looking for previous patient reviews. Again you should have narrowed your list down again.
The surgeons left are the ones to have consultations with babe. The one's you've researched and chosen for yourself.
You generally get a feel for 'the one' when you have your consultation and they aren't necessarily the surgeon that was right for someone else.
Remember what's right for one woman may not be right for you.
If you need any further help Elizabeth just give us a shout  xx

Heeheeeeee I know exactly how you feel try not to let your excitement influence your decisions though sweetheart, been there done that and paid a hefty price for it.
Choose carefully and don't rush. Take your time and think do see at least two surgeons before making any decisions hun.
It can be a little daunting at first but like I said, we're here if you need us. Xx

Yeah I think you're right. And I do have a tendency to rush ahead of myself. Our flat was the first one we looked at and we put an offer in the next day!lol x

At least with a flat there's no harm done babe. If you don't like it you sell it and move on.
But if you rush into a BA and suffer complications at the hands of a surgeon who's not right for you, you pay with further surgery to correct it. Possibly more scars and possibly a lot more money than you first started out paying.
My BA has so far cost me nearly 10K babe. And all because I cared only about getting boobs and not about the surgeon performing the op. xx

Re: Opinions on size. implants etc
I initially had a BA, giving me a large implant to fill my breasts after having surgery. Looking back instead of the big implants I know now I should have had a lollipop lift then. I was borderline lift. But the surgeon was just happy to take the easy route for him and I was so excited to have boobs back that I didn't question anything. My boobs were huge. I was as paranoid about them big as I was when I had none. They lasted only 3 years before one ruptured. It distorted my breast so much it was twice the size of the other. I had after care and went back to the clinic for help as I was covered for a rupture. They said they would pay only for a new implant and the surgery to do that. This meant that my right boob which was huge would be like throwing a ball in a sock. This was the new surgeons words to correct this. The clinic refused to pay for the further damage to my breast and the surgery needed to correct this. Only the free implant and the surgery to replace that is covered for a rupture. So I had to pay a further four and a half grand for the rest of the surgery, which now meant I had to have a full anchor uplift because of the distortion to the breast. The breast was a mess. The implant had torn and the surgeon had to perform a full capsulectomy removing all the breast capsule. I was told I was high risk infection...I got an infection. This led to my scars being over an inch wide, so that led me to needing more surgery to fix that. Because the scars were so wide I had to have a lollipop lift to repair this...
All this from not thinking Elizabeth... It really does pay to think hun xxx

Re: Opinions on size. implants etc
Wow that is some cautionary tale! How horrible that you had to go through all that :( . Thanks for sharing. I'll definitely be super careful about how I proceed now. Is there a list of suggested questions you should ask surgeons anywhere on here? x

Hiya theres lots of surgeons in scotland whom I have read good things about including Taimur Shoaib you should try googling Ben Chew and Cameron Raine too all of the above are consultant plastic surgeons working within the NHS doing mostly breast enlargement and reconstructions. Hope this helps you in some way in your BA journey its all so exciting! XXX
