I had two weeks off work and I am happy I did! I wouldn't have needed any longer though which is good!
NO lifting or anything though... I didn't do much until my 6 week check! Lifted shopping bags but not many and hoovered a few times thought I don't think I should have as it's pressure on the boobies! Like I have heard many times on here... listen to your body!

I would say take the two weeks if you can, you might not be doing anything strenuous but you'll be surprised how much you do use those muscles, even just walking about, getting onto a bus etc and you will be at your most vonurable, what if someone knocks into you at college etc! Not worth the risk xxx

Thanks zebra, i know i was worried about the bus and getting knocked into. im not telling anyone about my BA so its just coming up with a reason to be off, but ii will defo not be taking any risks at all, its not worth it!
I suppose even carrying your hand bag and things like that would be using the pectoral muscles
as you say will just have to see how it goes thanks again zebra :D xx

ive been wondering the same thing as i really dont want to take 2 weeks off work as ive not been in the job long! i will be telling them why im having time off tho :)

why dont you use glandular fever as a reason for time off? it wont matter if u have more than 2 weeks off then as it wont be unexpected and you can say you cant be bumped and have to take it easy because all your glands are still a little sore... including the ones under your armpits ;)

That's a great idea Littlewellies!! lol!

I guess it's none of their business is it, family crisis!!! That might work, no-one will ask questions then, lol! I hated the first time I got on a bus after, felt dead weird and so bumpy! Have you decided what size you are having then?? So exciting yahoo xx

I go to college with mostly boys so would NEVER hear the end of it lol have had the bras well padded since i started so dont think anyone will notice!
Family crisis is a good one, if anyone was daft enough to ask you could just say you didnt want to talk about it! ... in saying that not telling my family apart from mum dad and sister so if they found out ther might be a family crisis! lol

Yea well decided on 450cc with the surgeon but want to go to 500cc i know thers not much difference but would like to go up a little bit, i think its more a mental thing, the girl i booked with said to just say to him on the day of surgery so only two weeks today cant believe it!
How are you getting on? have you found the recovery ok?

Ooooooooh 500cc would be amazing! lol!
I was going to ask you how you were gonna hide the size difference but if you already wear lots of padding I'm sure you'll be fine!
That two weeks will go so quick and what a great xmas pressie to yourself! Are your parents being supportive??

I am getting on OK, just counting down the days till the 15th Dec when get the all clear for wires! Have had to wait 3 months! Recovery wise it was a lot easier than I thought, not so much pain as just uncomfortable and heavy. It's very up and down emotion wise and still is but I find this forum helps a lot, as no-one else understands out side of this place! They are always changing esp in the first month...the changes are amazing! Excited for you Stars Don't forget to take lots of pictures so you ca see the difference yourself :) xx

Hi rocky. I'm 8 days post op with unders. As others have said, everyone's recovery is different so I can only tell you how I feel. I took study leave for 2 weeks post op. I definitely needed to stay at home the first week (didn't get as much studying done as I wanted to either as I was quite sore & sleepy). I physically went in this morning to catch up on some stuff. Although I'm still on study leave next week, I feel I would be perfectly fine to go back now. I'm back driving and stopped taking analgesia a few days ago. As you are at University, you should be ok if you are careful (although you may still be a little uncomfortable)

I'm at my post op appt Tuesday to get my dressings off (hopefully). Will put some more pics on picture trail if you wanted to take a peek as they are 460cc.

zebra - iv got 2 boost your cup size by 2 size on at all times, i can just walk straight into things and cant feel it lol so i may even look smaller than i do in my bras! My parents are soo supportive came as a big shock i thought i was going to have to arguee about it for months before they came round but straight away they were fine, i still expect my dad to crack up but hes totally supportive..weird!
Good im glad your healing up ok, your avi looks great, us lot with unders have a bit of a longer process untill we see the final result which must be hard to keep in mind through recovery! Im sure your looking forward to being able to wear bras! ooohhh bra shopping might actually be an enjoyable experience with your new boobies!
I will defo take some before pics and set a picture trail when iv got the new improvements!:D xx

Thats great snowy you sound like your getting on really well, a week off would be fine for me to take if i could get back after that id be thrilled! Your avi is looking great too hun! Would be great to see your pic trail, its so helpful to know what to expect thanks so much :D xx
