CUI or inspira?

Hey all,

Does anyone on here have an opion on the CUI vs inspira?

Obviously inspira have a longer guarentee but I have seen CUI mentioned a lot on here.... Is it worth paying the extra?

The CUI is the standard implant but also very sturdy with a 10 year guarantee. The Inspira are the preimium implants with a 3 layer shell and they come with the lifetime guarantee. Breast implants will last about 10 years maybe more maybe less before you will need them replaced. So it's up to you really, they are both good implants although you have the added protection of the extra layers in the inspira.

Hmmmm.... Personally I don't think there is much point going for a lifetime guarentee implant when the chances are I am going to have them replaced in ten years?

What implants did you have?

Allergen CUI seem fairly common xx

I had the CUI MHP as I plan to start a family soon and felt I'd be having a re op to get my perkiness back soon enough, so the more expensive wasn't needed. I quite fancy the newer firmer gel next time though, not sure if I'll go for the CUI CMH or the inspira soft touch. I'll see what's about when the time comes.

Nice new avatar, nice to put a face to a name :-) I have allergan naturelle implants and my surgeon told me as long as they are fine I won't need them changing , he said some surgeons replace them to just profit not because people need them replacing !! I'm planning to go bigger in 10 yrs maybe and when I've saved up the money again lol xxx

Hey zoie,

Did you pay extra for those implants?

The standard is the CUI and its about 450 to upgrade to inspira; do you think it's worth it?

Btw your avi looks amazing!!! Can't wait to have a boogie pic rather than boring old face! Lol xx

I had the cui CMH implants and was also told I 'may' not need them replacing....it all depends in whether 1) they are still in good condition in 8-10 yrs (or so) and 2) what gravity decides to do with them ;-)

It's crazy making a decision about something that could happen in 10 years! I struggle to make decisions about next week! Lol

CMH is medium/high right? I think I want low profile CUI..... Xxx

This can happen at any time, but is more likely to happen the longer you have them.
Our bodies will naturally reject the implants and studies have shown the longer you have the implants the more likely you are to have complications. The FDA have released the results of their study, stating that they are not long term devices and one in five of us will need them replaced within 10 years. Taken from Here

My advice is always be prepared to have them replaced, it could be 4 years or more. Usually 10 but looking at the study a lot had them replaced after 8 due to complications. So make sure you have a boobie fund, just £50 a month saved would mean you have enough money in a few years should you need it.

So do you think it's worth the extra £s to get the inspira when chances are they will need changing anyway?

Also.... As the guarentee only covers the implant I would still have to pay surgery costs and the implants are the cheapest part?

Currently can't see the benefits of the inspira although they do have the FDA approval that CUI don't?

Only the inspira responsive have FDA approval.
Surgery costs will be paid if you develop a high grade CC or rupture within your aftercare period, otherwise yes you will have to pay all other costs. However the Inspira are a brilliant range and they do offer that extra protection of 3 layers. For my needs the CUI was fine for me, but the extra peace of mind of the inspira is essential for others.

Personally I chose the CUI because I didnt see the point in paying the extra because I'm sure i will want to change them within the next 10 years anyway. My surgeon recommended the CUI as perfectly adequate implants so I went with his suggestion.

here's a link to the CUI catalogue. I dont know what the letters CMH mean but I know that CMH is high profile, textured cohesive gel (firmer implants) and MHP is high profile textured responsive gel (softer implants). I found the link really useful pre-op becasue I was given the choice of 380cc or 410cc and realised there wasn't much difference at all between the 2 sizes. Also that there is like 1cm difference between the projection of the high and low profile implants in a lot of the sizes. I have got MHP 410cc xx

CMH is cohesive microcell (textured) high
so they're a high profile implant.
You need to discuss profiles with your surgeon, if you show your surgeon pictures of what you want he will be able to say what type of profile will help you get that look.

I agree with misf1. I went in thinking I definitely didn't want high profiles because I had a vision of me having big pointy boobs lol but my surgeon said hp would be best for me and so far he's right. I love them! CUI or inspira? 773440

I didn't get a choice of implant Hun it was allergan that they use . It cost me £4400 for my BA if that helps ? Xxx

I agree with the others,

Just go in prepared to fully explain (and show) what look you want to achieve.
There's SO mush research to do, it's all youll be thinking about! ;-)

I've got cui and am pleased with my decision so far. I initially thought I'd want the others, but was recommended cui in all of my consultations and decided it was better for me as I'll probably be wanting to replace them in less than 10 years anyway (I'm 25 and will hopefully have children in the next few years)

It's all personal preference, but for me it wasn't worth the extra money x

I'd go for Inspira, they are FDA approved (the Responsive) and they have the lifetime guarantee. I also felt them as well as the CUI and CUI felt far too flimsy. My PS also said CUI's give you more chance of rippling and that the Inspira's are sturdier. I'm very happy with my choice.

I have inspira responsive and I love them because they are so soft and natural feeling. Having said that I would happily have had the cui becuase they also felt so natural, but I couldnt have the cui because of the cc I needed. My first ba I had allergan style 110 which were awful-they were rock hard!x
