Post by goldilockz1984 18th November 2012, 7:19 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a consultation in 2 weeks and will hopefully be having a BA in March or April next year. As yet, I'm a bit of a beginner to this and was wondering what you would recommend for a very natural look and feel? I am currently 5"11 tall and a 36B. I've heard that unders tend to be more natural looking than overs, and I only want to go up to a D cup, not bigger. Do you have any further advice for achieving lovely full but natural looking boobs?

Thanks guys xxx

Hello Lovely,

Alot of girls look natural despite what placement or type/shape of implant they have. I think your PS is the best person to decide what's right for you in terms of natural looks by examining you. Hard to say through a forum and everyone has different opinions of what's natural and what's best :)

Can't really give full advice but i'm a 36B and 6ft tall and had a consultation on friday. I explained that a natural look was more important than how big they are but i would like the biggest and most natural i could get and i got recommended 445CC anatomical overs. He flat out refused unders because i would deffo get double bubble but i think that's more to do with me having tuberous breasts.

Hi guys,

Cazzy: you're right, I'm hoping that my PS (whoever I go with) will appreciate my desire to look as natural as possible!

Balamory: You sound just like me in terms of your body! What surgeon did you have your consult with on Friday? What size will a 445CC take you to? I think that might be a little big for me but I have no idea...It's great that your surgeon refused unders, there's no point in him pretending it'd be a good idea if double bubble is very likely. xx

First things first, I'd go and get measured as looking at your pic I very much doubt you are a 36 back. You may be a 30D? maybe more maybe less. But I'd check what size you are now. I really wouldn't worry about bras sizes, put the D cup is too big idea out of your mind. You need to think of the look you want. I'd take a look at pictures of famous people or nuts magazine or even look at before and after pics on google and see what sort of look you want, save the pictures/cut them out of magazines and take them with you to your consultation to show your surgeon the look you are after. Most surgeons will give you a natural look and if you want a fake or fake/natural look you will have to specifically ask for it. Both overs and unders can look natural and it will be up to the surgeon to determine which placement is best for you for the look you want.

The best thing to do is find pictures of the look you want and show these to the surgeon. When i first started I said i wanted the 'natural look' as in, I didn't want to be able to see the edge of the implant but then at the same time I wanted the roundness and perkiness of an augmented boob. If you wan't really natural looking boobs then you could look into anatomical implants? I know a girl whose had these and you seriously cannot tell she's had a BA at all, she had to show us the scars cos none of us believed her! But, for me, they look 'too' natural, they're quite low ... but then everybody ends up looking differently. i'm kind of rambling a bit here but I think just maybe find some pictures and make sure when you speak to your surgeon you're really clear on what you want and he'll be able to advice you on whats best. And in terms of overs and unders your surgeon will advise you which are best for your body and as long as you have a good surgeon they will look natural no matter which placement you have xxx

Hi, if echo what the others have said re- your surgeon will know best, but thought I'd comment as I'm tall too! 5"11! But larger than you, I was a 38/40b, I had 525 high profile overs and am now a 40D, they look very natural (like the boobs I should've had!!!)

I think being tall we can carry off a decent size.

Absolutely agree about putting the 'd cup' idea out your head!
There was a post on here with photos of d cups in varying back sizes, and most people's feedback was that they looked smaller than what we perceive a d cup to be. Absolutely go for the look that you want, research like crazy for photos of boobs. Good luck!x

I went to Mr Hardy at Birkdale Clinic, he also specialises in reconstructive breast surgery for oncology patients on the NHS which is where i found out about him because i work as a receptionist. He was very honest, he was the one that told me i had tuberous breasts, he told me to get a 38DD sports bra for after surgery (to account for the swelling) which when settled should become a 36E but i'm a size 14 so I think an E would balance out my big hips quite nicely and he said because i'm tall i could pull off a bigger size like that The natural look 1978086825 he said he absolutely refuses to put unders on me because i would deffo get a double bubble because of what breast i already have and having the tuberous breast and he picked 445CC because the implant width is 13.5cm and my breast width is 14cm so i have enough tissue to cover that size implant before the ridges would start showing The natural look 184153 x x x x x

Wishful: hope you don't mind me asking but i just saw that you have had a lowered crease and was wondering if this was due to tuberous breast? I think i will need to have this done, i'm going to ring up the clinic tomorrow to check x

I had unders coz my mum had BC bt I love that they look natural coz I have very little tissue at the top of my boobs and you would see the top of the implant on me if I lost even a tiny amount of weight xx
I had 460 unders and ended up a 32f and although they sound massive bt I promise no one has even noticed I've had em done :)
Apart from DH obviously ;)

Misf: I’ve always thought I was the wrong bra size! I am a
size 12 so quite slim for 6ft but I will definitely get myself measured. Do you
know any shops that provide this service? Good idea about the pictures! I would
love to have boobs like Dita Von Teese or Katy Perry. Both have impressive
cleavages but both look natural. I will take along some pics. I’ve also seen
some very impressive natural looking boob jobs.

Newboobz: Yes, anatomical implants seem like a good choice.
My boobs are quite low down on my chest though (not saggy, just a bit lower
than one might expect!) so my concern is that anatomicals may push them even
further! Or is this just a ridiculous concern?! Where did your friend have her
BA? Yes, you’re right. A good surgeon will always look natural. I just panicked
because I saw pics of Amy Childs’ boob job and she said ‘they look so natural’
and I thought to myself ‘ehh…no they do not!!’

Kmaise: Yay for being tall! I agree we can definitely carry
off a decent size. I am a total weakling and have a bad back and small bones
though so I don’t want to cause myself problems due to boobie greed!

Wishful: I agree. I think a lot of people aspire to be a
size 10/ D Cup but of course those things look different on different people. Think
I’m going to have to bite the bullet and buy some lads mags to flick through
and find my ideal boobs!

Balamory: Oh I have huge hips so maybe 445CCs would balance
me out too. I’m a bit of a pear shape, aspiring to be an hourglass! It’s fab
your surgeon was so honest. Much better that than tell you something that’s not
true just so you’ll book him.

Kxx: Yes, I don't have much tissue there either and my weight tends to fluctuate a lot so I'm very concerned that if I lost any weight, the implant would be visible. Great that yours are so natural looking!

i'm not sure what company hun but she's from Newcastle. I'm not a fan of how they look but she's happy so that's all that matters. Speak to the surgeons you see hun they'll be able to answer all of these questions and explain the reasoning behind the decisions. xx

Ha well my consultant said to me if i absolutely wanted unders i would have to go to someone else so then that got me thinking that if i did go to someone else who offered unders i should just run a mile in the opposite direction haha. I have a curvy figure very much like Kelly Brook but without the boobage The natural look 43877 i looked at pictures too and i particularly like Gemma Atkinson's and Kelly Brook's and Gemma's are anatomicals whereas Kelly's are real. And i don't know whether you know this or not but Dita Von Teese's are fake The natural look 204135

Consultation was fine but upset when he told me i had tuberous breasts and i realised the process wasn't going to be as straight forward as i had hoped. Funny that i wanted round 410cc under and i've been recommended anatomical 445cc over, complete opposite The natural look 557141

Most places like M&S (not so good) and debenhams will measure you. The best one seems to be the specalist lingerie shops if you have any near you? Dita Von tease's boob job is very nice, although I don't believe she's a 34C more like 30F. Katy Perry Said she's a 32D which is a 32DD in UK sizes. Although I'd guess at her being slightly bigger.
Although anatomicals are good, they may not be suitable for you, it will be something you will need to discuss with your surgeon. Round implants do also take on an anatomical look once they are in you as gravity forces the gel to the lower half of the breast.

I agree that Marks and Sparks is no good at measuring. We took my friend to get measured because she was spilling (i mean it was like another boob hanging over the tops!!) out of her 36E bra, 36F was still tight, they had no 36FF and 36G was the perfect fit!!! The woman went in, didn't even take a tape measure in with her or anything, took one look at her, said that bra was fine and walked out again The natural look 869500 I agree with Misf1; better off going to a special lingerie shop than M&S x x x

The best lingerie places will fit you into the bra, I would not let anyone measure me and use a guide cause to be honest I can do that myself. You want someone to look at the fit, how the straps fit how the cups fit etc

Cazzyxo yes Gemma's are anatomical. I've been admiring those bad boys ever since she went into the jungle on I'm A Celeb The natural look 1978086825 she's quite open about them in her interviews which is nice that she isn't ashamed and good for the girls on here that want a similar look.

Vicki i shall deffo email you The natural look 899188 so glad to find you again! You really do look unbelievable, i'd be singing from the church spire if my turn out anywhere near as good as yours!

Sorry for stealing your post Goldilockz, I would certainly just go for a few consultations because they are all free and no obligation and you don't know what to expect until you get in there. Like i said, i was expecting to get round 410cc unders and come out recommending anatomical 445cc overs! Ahh yeah I knew Dita’s were fake, but I like that they look
totally real (to me anyway!) You’re right to trust your surgeon Balamory, he
obviously knows what he’s talking about. Wow, lucky you if you have a figure
like Kelly Brook! I don’t know whose figure I have…maybe Beyonce (big thighs!)

Will definitely head to Debenhams to get measured as there
are no specialist lingerie shops anywhere near me (live in the Yorkshire
countryside). Wow Misf1, you’re an expert on bra sizes! I love Katy Perry’s
boobs. There is a facebook page dedicated to them! I’m not sure if they’re real
or not but I’m guessing they are, lucky so n so…Your boobs are fab by the way!
Can’t stop looking at them! (In a non-creepy way!) xx

Oh I like Gemma's too but they're huge!! I admire her honesty though. Feel free to hi-jack the post! No need to apologise! Oh, do you need to be naked for a bra fitting? I don't think I'd get a realistic idea of my bra size if I went in wearing my usual double padded Wonderbra plus chicken fillets!!!
