10 day post op
Morning ladies
I was meant to post this on Tuesday but not had a chance to.
I had my 10 day post op this week and I’m over the moon with how it went!! I
finally got those dirty itchy dressings off and my incisions are perfect! Very neat
and right in the crease (Thank you Dr B!) I’ve also been able to shower. Best shower
ever! I was instructed not to wear a sports bra after surgery. I’ve been
wearing one of those super tight chest band things and although it’s been
annoying and I couldn’t wait to get it off for 5 min every day, I really think it’s
the reason my boobs look so good so early on. Did anyone else have to wear one? They
have dropped and softened A LOT. I haven’t had any frankenboob or much upper
pole swelling, they have a very natural drop already and don’t look fake at all.
They are super squishy too and I can even push them together. Did not that expect that so early on. I’m now in a 34DD
sports bra. I bought 2 from M&S and 2 high impact ones from Asda (as
suggested by my pc). Surprisingly the Asda ones are lot more comfortable?! The
M&S ones are a little tight around the band and sometimes squeeze my
incisions. The nurse has also told me to have some braless time for a couple of
hours every evening and then start massaging them in a couple weeks. Anyone
else had braless time? It’s so weird being completely unsupported after wearing
that strap 24/7 for 10 days.
Anyway, Queenyk is a very happy bunny!! Yay for DD’s!!

Re: 10 day post op
So pleased you are happy, having boobs is great. I have had 2 b a's and didnt wear compression straps with either. Its interesting that different surgeons do different things. You say the nurse told you to massage in a couple of weeks? I was told not to under any circumstances because most implants are textured and need time to adhere to the tissue? A lot of girls on here have been told the same. But like I said different surgeons do different things. Hopefully Cookie will come along and say what she thinks . I still wear a bra 24/7 I feel unsupported without one and I am trying to keep mine from sagging down to my knees for as long as poss xx

Re: 10 day post op
I was really surprised i didn't have to wear a bra from the beginning because I've never heard of the chest strap before but it puts a lot of pressure on the top of my boobs and seems to have really helped to push them down. Either that or im a really quick healer, lol. I've just done a quick search on here about massage and saw some old posts about why textured ones shouldn't be massaged. mine are definitely textured so I'll ask the nurse about it at my 6 week check.
Massage or no massage, bra or no bra, your avid looks amazing!! I think its one of my favourites on here. I hope mine look like that! :-) xx

Re: 10 day post op
Cazzy - The clothes situation was the most awkward thing about it to be honest. Not sure if you've seen what the straps look like but they're like an elastic belt that fastens with velcro that you wear around the top of your boobs. It sometimes digs under your armpits but if you cut a couple of slits in it, it's alot better. Finding things to wear is kind of hard because your boobs are out, lol and my nipples have been standing to attention since I got it done so whatever I wore, you could see them a mile away! I just wore jumpers and loose tops or cardigans and didnt take my coat off if I went anywhere, lol. It was only for 10 days though and I didnt really go that many places so the time passes quickly xx

Re: 10 day post op
Jakki - Its amazing how the cheap ones are the most comfy?! I think my M&S ones were like 2 for £22 and the Asda ones were 2 for £7! maybe its a just a case of I bought the wrong size in the M&S ones an shoud've bought a bigger band but I'm not buying anymore, the 2 Asda ones will do for now xx
