Re: Nipple sensation
well Ive read through all this waiting for someone to say something thats similar to me but not so far. I was normally sensitive and reactive before ba, had a period of numbness after but generally - even after this time (12 months for me) they are massively over sensitive, there only has to be a draught and Im cringing. DH knows not to touch lefty without being really REALLY gentle because its just too much and can almost hurt. PS said at last appt that this will settle down over time, I hope so cos DH looks so guilty if he brushes me even by accident and I flinch ha.
Back to the origional Q tho - I was told about it before - about there could be 'changes' in nip sensation and I decided that it was a trade off and accepted it, same as the scars possibly showing after. xx

Re: Nipple sensation
They've never been very sensitive so I don't feel I have a lot too lose on that front, hopefully they'll have more feeling after!! Does it make a difference depending on where the incision is made i mean could you also lose feeling if you had a crease incision? (probably a silly question)

Re: Nipple sensation
My left nipple I can feel if being poked, but it hurts if being stimulated. My right nipple is the same feeling pre BA. So basically I've lost that ticklish feeling in my left boob, and I miss it because when i'm being intimate with somebody thts one of my fav body parts my nipples are.
I am thankful that at least one nipple feels the same. I am scared after my second op in January what will happen to my nipples. It is a huge deal to me, but cant control it. I will have to say to Mr Singh on the day...I just hope I don't lose nipple feeling...maybe he will be extra careful around the nerves.
I don't know if my left one will return after second BA x

Re: Nipple sensation
My nipples before my BA were pretty much dead, I could put a peg on them and they would be fine! Post op though they are now sensitive and when I touch them I can feel it...it's a nice feeling though, Looking forward to when my b/f kisses them to see what it feels like :) He's still not allowed to go too near lol
The underside of my boobs are numb and I don't think that'll come back but I don't really mind, I can learn to live with it. I have boobs, a little bit of numbness is worth it :)

My nipples were ok before my Ba and now like kat4 i only have to be in a draught and.....OUCH!!!!! also it seems that my nipples are always erect its early days thou so i'll just have to wait and see. xx
