First consultation with surgeon tomorrow?

Hi girls, have my first consultation with a surgeon tomorrow just wondering if theres anything i need to bring? like a sports bra for sizers or anything? iv lost my letter and just dont want to arrive and have forgotten something?
starting to get nerves now, have to travels two hours each way on trains so i will be stressin out because of that never mind the consultation!!

Hey hun, ooh congrats with your first consultation - who's it with??

I had my first consultation with a surgeon at Transform just over a week ago - I took a book with lots of pictures of boobs i like, and boobs i didn't (if i wasn't keen on the shape or size), and so i could write down everything the surgeon told me, because I knew i'd forget!!

After seeing the surgeon you'll see your pc again, and she'll let you try on some implants, but she'll have sports bras there, so you shouldn't need them.

So all I took was a notebook with lots of photos in lol...the surgeon went through each photo and asked what i did and didn't like about each one though :)

Some good advise there from deexx babe. I'd also wear a white T-shirt for your fitting. It's said the white gives you a far greater idea of the outcome than any other colour.

Thanks Cookie! I agree with the t-shirt advice - I wish I knew this before I had mine because I just had a oversized vest top with me so the sports bra was rather distracting lol

great advice thank you so much girls!!!
i have Krzysztof Czopkiewicz from transform! will defo have to remember a note pad i have such bad memory, esp with the excited of it all!
I don't really have any pics to take we tho, but i want to be the same size as i stuff my bra too so should i just bring all the padding? lol
and will go and hunt out a white tshirt now!

Lol I'm sure seeing the padding would help your surgeon hehe

I was abit taken aback by the surgeon I saw - Mr Mahdi - because one of the first questions he asked was what size do you want to be. I know surgeons can't guarantee a certain size so I just wanted to show him photos, because obviously my version of an 'E' cup could vary from his. But I made sure he paid more attention to the photos I brought!!

Is there no chance you could download some photos to your phone to give him an idea? xx

i find it hard to find boobs that i want if you know what i mean, il get on to zoo or nuts or something now

Real self website has loads of pictures of before and afters.
I printed lots from there off but as above made sure I took some of ones I didn't like too, the surgeon will have a portfolio to chat through also.

Agreed on white top, i had a black vest top on when i tried implants on with surgeon and picked 460cc and since ive tried rice boobs and decided they were too big on me. I asked my PCC to change to 410cc on my notes but she saod to just try them all on again when i go in for my pre op.
Anyway, enioy your consultation, looking forward to hearing how u get on :) xx

Hiya hun. Like a lot of the girls have said definitely bring a top with you with(i brought 2 - a vest and a tshirt). it gives you a better idea of what they Will look like than with just the bra on. The padding idea is a great idea because although pictures can show him what shapes you like, you need to see what size actually looks good on you. i knew i wanted my breast feeding boobs back so i took pics from when i was breast feeding. what i liked was instead of him asking what size or cc i wanted, he kept trying on different sizes til i was happy then told me what size that was. its all very exciting!! Remember not to book anything today Rocky, no matter how excited you might be hun always walk away and give yourself time to think about the surgery planned and its best also to get at least one other consultation to have to compare surgeons/surgery plans. Xx

Hey y'all quick update just on my phone on the way home, all went well,
surgeon reccommened 525cc unders, would have rather of went over
but don't havnt enough tissue to cover unfortunatly, he said it
shouldn't effect my training and I really hope it doesn't, push ups
and pull ups are a regular part of my workout and soon to be job so I am
a bit nervous about that, did a bit of bargaining aswell so my PCC will
Email me later in the week about prices,so far so good, think I'll book another
Consultation at another clinic just to compare but so far so good xxx

Quick question - when are you planning your op and how did you haggle? When i asked about a discount my pc said she would be able to tell me closer to when i want my op (hopefully january) as getting a discount all depends on how many beds they have left...is this true or a sales tactic? :-) xxx

Hmmm I would definitely have another consultation hun... For someone who trains as hard as yourself your surgeon can't say for sure that you won't have muscle distortion when going under the muscle for someone with an athletic body babe and should really have discussed the possibilities of that with you.

A lot of women don't mind muscle distortion but some do and it should be talked through and if you were unlucky to have this if you went under the muscle would your surgeon be prepared to change the placement for you?

It's just something to think about lovely. Xx

dee xx I told her that i like transform etc.. but there is a clinic closer to me and 1 which i have used before which offers a BA for £3600 so she said she will see what she can do, it may be cheaper to travel to Edinburgh because belfast is so expensive! but she did mention the beds saying if i was to book the quicker i book the cheaper she can get it, which makes no sense so i wont be rushed into anything!!!

Cookie i feel the same way, he didnt go into any detail about muscle distortion which i am worried about i dont want to be showing clients how to do things n all they are able to see is implants sliding about the place, i train heavy weights and i dont think he understood that i will be going for a second opinion, its got me worried!!

And Deexx i haggled the price when i was ready to book and pay deposit if thats any help i just said i had a £250 voucher through the post last year and asked if they were doing one this year as it was only valid til feb but they said i could have 250 off the price anyway xx

Thanks Rocky - that's really useful! I'm from Sunderland and my PC rents out a flat near me, so she'll know that they're the cheapest around here :( and she told me the opposite...if I book fairly close to when I want it done and there are lots of beds left, I'll be more likely to get a discount. You never know who to believe with these people lol

You sound right in going for a different opinion hun, especially since the first surgeon you saw didn't seem to listen about muscle distortion xx

Thanks mais04 - going to sound dumb here but did you really have a voucher for the last year?? lol I tried that with MYA, I heard that if you told them you used to have a voucher but didn't get a chance to use it, then they would take it off anyways, but they called my bluff and checked on their system and told me i wasn't on there...bugger!! Screwy

yea i am going to book a consultation with the other clinic im not sure the surgeon took into consideration my training, he just say really generally youll be able to do everything, the actual words muscle distortion never came out of his mouth i just know about it from forums like this.... im so disappointed i wanted to come home excited now im just confused!
iv had surgery before and i apps LOVED my surgeon but he has retired i trusted him soo much and he put me at ease straight away i just want to find a surgeon like that again!! stressing out now xx
