For those on regular medication?
Were you told to stop your medication at any point before surgery?
I will call my clinic and check anyway before my op, but I'm just curious to know if you have to stop taking your meds. I'm on pretty strong meds and not only do I need some for pain but I get pretty sick too if I don't take them. Xx

I am on daily medication and was told not to stop . I take my tablet at the same time every day and it fitted in with my last drink before the BA, and the nurse said that's when I should take it .I get side effects if I miss it x

Re: For those on regular medication?
Thank you Jakki
My admission time is 8am, so ill have to take my last meds the night before.... I'll have to tell them not to leave me waiting for hours before my surgery then or I'm not going to feel too good...

I think if ou have special circumstances you can request to be down theatre first. My friend had a ba a year ago and she's diabetic, obviously she still had to fast but had to go down first due to sugar levels etc.
They should be accommodating to your needs Hun xx
Not sure on the meds front as font take any regular meds part from my pill :) xx

That's very reassuring mrsball thank you
I'm going back to see Mr Persico on the second, my surgery is on the 12th, so I can discuss it further with him then.
Good to know they accommodate those with special needs. X

Yes Hun I would request being first due to whatever reasons and special circumstances. They should understand and take into account your reasons and your needs xx
