You'll have your dressings changed around 1 week post-op hun. Do-not disturb them before then. The wound is still healing and any disturbance could put back your healing.

After a week the wound will be assessed, you may have all the dressings removed then depending on your healing.

Some have steri-strips reapplied that will need be changed every couple of days, you can do this yourself your nurse will provide the strips for you.

Some take a little longer to heal and may need the dressings reapplied for a further week hun. Xx

I just got mine changed for the first time on Monday ( 11 days post op) and have dressing to change (a wee flesh coloured tape thing) every few days for next week or so. The itchin drove me insane but the nurse said that just means they are healing.
