Double bubble or just healing??
Firstly can you even get DB with overs? I know my surgeon advised against unders for me due to an increased risk of DB. Anyway since the day of my op I have noticed a crease in the lower half of my left breast. As the swelling is reducing this crease is becoming more noticeable and has a double bubble apperance. The photos I have taken make it look even worse than it does in the mirror! I am still chuffed with my results but now I'm worried than I am gonna have one dodgy boob! I've updated my picturetrail with photos from today if some of you wanna have a look and give me your opinions. I know I am only 19 days post op and I have a lot of changes ahead but I am worried as its only my left breast. If you do look at my pics just bear in mind some have been taken in the mirror! The right breast is the one that is under the tattoo on my chest and this one is healing fine, its the left I'm worried about!!

Re: Double bubble or just healing??
Hi, I just had a look at your updated picturetrail.
I'm afraid I don't really know what Im looking for, but I can see what you are talking about. To my very uneducated eye I wonder if it is just excess skin rather than anything else. but I'm afraid I am not a suitable peron to giv you any kind of opinion.
Maybe you could specifically ask certain members that you think may have more knowledge to take a look to give their advice (ps, I still think they look great!)

Re: Double bubble or just healing??
I have little folds of skin at the bottom of each breast which I have been told is normal and part of the healing process and is caused by the technique used by my surgeon which should resolve by 6 weeks. Its the lump of breast tissue sitting on top of the implant that I am worried about You can see where my real boob is sitting on the implant and there is a curve right the way around.

Re: Double bubble or just healing??
Hi Hun, I still had your password so hope you don't mind I had a look as I had something similar around 2weeks and thought bottoming out or double bubble. I can see what you mean by the incisions and I thought this is what you meant in your post. I did have this around the same sort of time but when I looked at your pics I noticed the boob then came back here and you have stated it clearly in your thread. I would try not to worry as you say it's early stages so lots of changes to go through, but you could give your clinic a call see what they say I'm sure it will be fine xx

Re: Double bubble or just healing??
If you've already approached your surgeon and she's told you it's part of your healing based on her technique lovely, I'd wait out the period of time she suggested and see how it goes..
Your surgeon has a good reputation so I'm sure if there is a problem she would be happy to sort it out for you. Xx

Re: Double bubble or just healing??
I see what you mean but I find it hard to see that it would happen. Like, I had minimal breast tissue and lots of skin but I haven't noticed anything like that. Maybe it's swelling from the lift still? I still had a shadow of a bruise on one of mine after the 6 weeks so it certainly can take quite a while to heal.
Maybe it's to do with the technique of your surgeon the same as the skin at the bottom, as don't forget she also cut and stitched around your nipple too

Re: Double bubble or just healing??
Try not to Hun I have got myself in some right old states and within hours/ days its all settled again. To put your mind at ease call the clinic tomorrow and see what they say but I'm sure it will settle all on its own the worse thing is to keep looking at it hard not to I know but that works you up and makes you feel worse just let them be lovely and settled in your sports bras and you will be fine xx

Re: Double bubble or just healing??
Spoke to the nurse, she said its still very early days and
swelling etc distorts everything but to keep an eye on it. She said she will
speak to Mrs Kat to see if she wants to see me earlier but she
suspects that she will want to wait until things are settled down as its too
early to make a judgement on it. She said if there is a problem and the shape
is anything less than perfect at the 12 week check that Mrs Kat will sort it out for me as she is a
perfectionist and would never leave me with anything that was less than perfect
so not to worry so at least that has settled my mind a bit! She also said it
might be a good idea to send the pics I have taken to her clinic so I am going to do that now.

Re: Double bubble or just healing??
Glad to hear it.
After seeing your first picture trail I did a search on your surgeon. I would definatley like to see her next time I need to pay for surgery. The more I hear of her the better she seems. You must be really relieved you went with someone that takes pride on their work and Is willing to rectify any issues till you have perfect boobs

Yes I am very glad I went with her and travelled the 100 miles to see her! She was so caring yet professional right from the start and so thorough compared to the other surgeons I saw. She showed me pages and pages of before and after photos on her ipad of women she has operated on and every picture looked amazing. I think it helps that she has a female perspective too!
