codeine is evil!!
Had to stop taking it cos I woke up today with the worst headache ever! Apparently it can happen if it builds up in your system and as I dont really take pain meds it really affected me. I spent all morning feeling awful and ended up vomiting. Luckily I feel much better now but its the worst I have felt since my op.. ironic that the thing that is supposed to keep you pain free can cause more pain!!!

Re: codeine is evil!!
i went through a phase before my op where i was getting headaches/migraines (stress worrying about my PIPs) and was taking a strong codine tablet but they actually made them worse and i didnt realise that codine can cause headaches so as my headache got worse i took more codine! Dont touch it now!!

You'll find we often advise women to stop taking the codeine if any any
signs of sickness is shown, infact I mentioned you stop it yesterday if it was making you feel ill, in your 'can't wee' thread, you mustn't have seen the post though.
Glad you're feeling better now lovely xx

That's good. Your sternum will feel a little a little sore until the skin has had time to relax over your boobs and take the pressure from your cleavage area. I found icepacks far better for pain, if you just pop an ice pack over your boobs and down your cleavage this helps so much more than pain killers I thought. (not on your stitches though) xx
