Helpppppp
Right girls I know it's early early days but the gap inbetween my boobs is almost coming off my bone and making a crunchy groce noise, is this due to swelling? I feel completely back to normal now pretty much so I tend to forget I'm still healing, can't wait for my boobs to drop and take some shape I feel like their pretty small front on and it's quite depressing seeing the big gap I have! Does the gap close up much when they start to soften? X

Re: Helpppppp
I was exactly the same the first few days babe, i kept proding my chest muscles as they made that weird noice.
I used to be a massuse and muscles always made this noise when there was lactic acid crystals in them which happened when the muscle was moved with no oxygen going to it.
I also think the reason it crunches is because it has been lifted and theres air under it, it takes a few days to settle.
Mine doesnt do it at all anymore at all anmd i dont feel the implant move eather no, like its healed more into position
Ive spoken to quite a few girls who have had this very taught skin between their boobs and its down to the implant just stretching the skin hunni and will settle down so dont worry.
I had it slightly for a few days than it calmed down xxx
Dont know about the gap closing as im only 2 weeks post op but you are very welcome to have a peek at my pic trail as i had about the same as you xxxxxx

Re: Helpppppp
The skin being raised from your sternum is very normal Lauren, as well as the noises you're hearing which is nothing but fluid and air which disperses naturally into the body as it heals.
It took months for the skin on my sternum to settle but it did eventually and now sits again again my chest. For some this can heal a lot quicker though depending on your personal healing.
The gap you have between your boobs is determined by the gap you had Pre-op. some have a larger gap than others, but it's not something to worry about because as the skin/muscle starts to relax and your boobs gain more movement which can take months! (6 months for me) you'll find when you can wear wires, a bra created to give you cleavage solves any problems with gaps. I myself have a gap in my cleavage, I like how it looks though, other women have a permanent bum cleavage, it all depends on how we're made naturally Hun that determines our results.
You're healing just fine though and there's nothing to be concerned about at all sweetie xx

Hi Hun, my nurse said once the swelling in the chest goes down they would begin to get closer, I am now 4 weeks post op and they have certainly got closer the more they are settling, I guess it also depends on how much of a gap you had between them pre op xx

Lauren xxx
I had this and it felt terrible, I didnt have the noises thou, but felt like my chest was going to burst open esp from the middle between the boobs where it was all bruised and swollen for the first week and half.
Its settled now and not so tight, so I can walk a long way now, without it feeling tight and I need to sit down.
It will go soon xxx

Re: Helpppppp
Hi Lauren,
I had the same thing and it disappeared after two weeks but i seem to be taking longer than average to get out of the frankenboob stage. The good news is that when it's gone the cleavage will be deeper and your boobs will look bigger! I had about a gap of about an inch or maybe more in the beginning and now it's literally less than 1cm. I should really get around to doing a new avi cause i'm sure that picture doesn't help lol
