Stretch marks on my new additions :(
Hi girls, Im gutted i have started developing some stretch marks on my new additions! I have the kind of skin that gets stretch marks easily anyway so i should of expected it but i feel a bit gutted! i have been moisturising them being careful to avoild the scars. When can i use bio oil on the scars? and will this help the stretch marks? xx

Re: Stretch marks on my new additions :(
Unfortunately, like you say say Pammie, if your skin is prone to getting stretch marks there is always the possibility that this will happen, if you're aware of it already I'm presuming that you already have stretch marks?
You'll know that over time they'll fade to a fine silvery line that will be hardly noticeable. I have stretch marks myself from when I breast fed, I was fortunate not to get anymore after my surgery, but I think the implant just filled to the whoppers I had when I was breast feeding LOL.
Mine are barely noticeable Pammie and I had thick blue ones when they first appeared, they look hideous! I was very upset about, I never used anything on mine but cocoa butter, nothing will get rid of them now sadly, but do keep your skin well moisturised morning and night to help prevent them by keeping your skin as supple as possible.
I can honestly say though Pammie that over time you'll hardly notice them lovely, they're just a small part of you that won't take anything away from you having a gorg pair of boobies! .
Using Bio-oil or moisturisers on your scars are 'generally' advised anytime after your 6 week recovery marker babe. xx

Palmers cocoa butter helped mine a great deal, better than bio-oil xx

That's all I use Peachy, I've used Bio oil and silicone sheets but smothering your skin in cocoa butter has always felt best 'for me'
Hope you're feeling a little better about your stretch marks today Pammie. xx

cocoa butter smells so good too! I used Bio-oil for 8 months r so and couldn't see a difference. Palmers on the other hand made my skin look so much better and feel good too.

LOL, I'm the opposite Peachy, I can't stand the smell! I buy the unscented one now xx
Re: Stretch marks on my new additions :(
Nooooo I LOVE it lol. My other half loves it too. In fact everytime he smells it on a girl walking past or whatever it reminds him of me, he says. Just hope he doesn't go chasing them for a sniff
