Re: first post op
I had my yesterday hun. The nurse just took the dressings off and changed my steri strips. Told me i could shower, to massage and to take steri srips off in 5 days. Then she made me an appointment to see the surgeon in 4 weeks.
It's nothing to worry about hun.

Re: first post op
They will take your dressing's off and have a look over your incisions to check everything is healing ok. Then depending on your progress they generally go for steri-strips and give you some replacement ones.
You'll be given directions for the next few weeks regarding washing/sleeping etc x

Re: first post op
Aw dont worry hun it'll be fine, nice and easy and no pain. They'll be really nice to you check you over and arrange another consultation for 6 weeks post op.
Re: first post op
As well as what everybody else has said lovely, this appointment is also an opportunity to discuss any concerns you might have if you have any at all LOL...
If there is anything though do ensure your nurse writes it down in your notes so that when you go back to see your surgeon around the 6 week post-op period they will be aware of your concerns and able to monitor your progress. x
