Travel after BA?
Hi ladies,
Just booked my second consult with Mr Withey on 6th sept. I spoke to the patient advisor and potential dates for surgery are 1st or 13th feb 2013.
My question is, we are planning a hol to Dubai sometime in march so when would it be 'safe' to travel, wear bikinis etc?

Re: Travel after BA?
I think the general recommendations is 6 weeks (after your post op) to leave the country, but keep yourvibdiosions covered him as you could make the scars darken. I spoke to my clinic before booking my holiday and they recommended to wait til I was discharged before booking, just in case of complications x

Re: Travel after BA?
For long haul flights it's generally around 6 weeks post-op Mandy. Bikini wearing will be dependant on your surgeon recovery instrustions, you could be in sportsbras for anything up to about 12 weeks, 6 weeks being what is generally advised.
You'd be best seeking advice from your surgeon before booking anything lovely. xx

12 weeks? That's ages! I can discuss with Mr Withey next week. Will be desperate to get on holiday to put on some fab bikinis and actually fill them!

LOL 12 weeks seems like an age away doesn't it, but it really does fly by Mr Whithey will be able to help you set your date for your fun in the sun babe and what a holiday you'll have with your new boobs hey!!! Definitely worth waiting for. xx
Re: Travel after BA?
I wondered the same, not that I got holiday booked but when I booked my BA I was asked if I planned to travel within 12 weeks. I was wondering how this works for the ladies that have BA abroad.
