Re: Breast sizes
I don't think we have anyone who has bought sizers. Have you tried some on with your surgeon?
Re: Breast sizes
I did try on 260 although they only had one!! So not ideal and I didn't bother with 300 as I ruled it out but now thinking I should have tried it to see xx

Re: Breast sizes
Make a second consultation and try other sizes babe. This is a big decision and you want it to be the right one, so if you're at all unsure, go back and have a more indepth talk with your surgeon until both yourself and your surgeon are 100% happy with the choice made.
Don't worry about going babe. Most surgeons expect to see us at least twice before the big day anyway. Xx

Re: Breast sizes
For the rice test you fill a sock/stocking with rice - the same amount of grams as the CC you're thinking of...so 300CC = 300g of rice. then you tie the end of the sock/stocking and put it in one cup of your bra...then do the same for the other side.
I think they're great as a rough guild line and for getting used to the weight, but they're not too accurate in terms of what you're likely to end up with from what I've heard.
Could you book a consultation with another surgeon from Transform that has the same implants just to try them on? It's worth ringing Transform and explaining you're having doubts about the sizing just to see what they would advise.

Re: Breast sizes
Using a measuring cup, use the following as a guideline:
1/8 cup rice = 30cc
1/4 cup rice = 59cc
1/3 cup rice = 78cc
1/2 cup rice = 118cc
2/3 cup rice = 156cc
3/4 cup rice = 177cc
1 cup rice = 236cc
this is what we used we have those little metal mesuring cup's that are in cup size...ie...1/cup.....1/2 a cup and so on....i got my hubby to measure them out as im useless at maths lol xxx

You could always call the clinic sweetie and request your surgeon take a couple of sizes of implants into theatre on the day. You'll have time to take to your surgeon on the day, so you'll be able to go through your sizing options then. Taking pictures with you of the size and shaped boobs you like (some women look for pics in mens mags such as Nuts magazine or gossip columns with pics of celebs in bikinis). It would be best if you look for women with the same frame as yourself to get a more realistic idea of what might be possible, then with your surgeon having the sizing options at hand, he then then do his best to help you achieve the look you want with the sizes he has available to him. xx
Re: Breast sizes
Thanks I have spoken to my pc today about sizing she said he will have sizes there on day so to speak to him because of increased chances of rippling and also something to do with the projection - Lost on that one!! But he did say 260 or 300 so surely he would have thought about projection etc I'm not asking him to put in anything bigger then he suggested to me. But yet again this is what I don't understand from on here there are women same frame and size some smaller then me that have had much bigger cc, it's all so confusing. I am so sorry if I am driving people nuts on here! X
Marialainia, I don't have the baking cups someone suggested so what other cup do I use? Xx

Re: Breast sizes
Projection means how much they stick out, usually referred too as high, moderate or low 'profiles' - profile meaning what your profile will be from the side. Google breast implant profiles

Re: Breast sizes
Mummy me it doesn't have to be your surgeon there if you want to try on implants for size, the PCC can sort that for you. Get in the phone and arrange to get back there girl! Size isn't the sort of thing they can leave you to have no idea on til the last minute. Xx

You may find women with the exact same stats as yourself or smaller having larger implants than yourself lovely because their anatomy will be completely different to yours.
They may have more breast tissue than you. They may have more overall body fat than you. Their rib cage may be wider than yours. If they've previously had children the skin may be stretched and able to take a bigger implant.
All these factors and more will be the reason you're finding women of the same size and smaller being able to have a larger implant. We're each made very differently sweetheart and why every BA should tailor made just for you. Xx

When I made my rice boobies I just weighed out the rice on kitchen scales in a plastic container. I was supposed to be getting 390CC at the time so measured out 390g of rice. I then transferred the rice into a sock through a funnel, but if you use any sort of cup you could just stretch the sock over the top of the cup then tip it upside down?
But if you're measuring the grams exactly it doesn't matter what cup/container you use, just 0000 the scales you're using after you've put the cup on and then add the rice.
Also, Wishful is right, your surgeon doesn't need to be there for your sizing. My nurse did mine for me, then on the op day she went over what we'd discussed with him and he said that would be fine. You're going to get a chance to speak to your surgeon on the morning of your op for sure, so if you want to try on some different sizes with your PCC before then your surgeon will still get the final say!
Re: Breast sizes
Thanks girls I have spoke to my PC about it as I said but she said to discuss with surgeon on day she didn't offer me back to try on, think she's not really willing to go out of her way for me as I got a very cheap price which she wasn't too keen on but didn't want to loose me to Harley. I asked her about transport and was told they don't do it anymore yet when I went in for my preop clearly heard another PC orgainsing transport for her client. Think my PC is worse then double glazing sales rep!! Lol just worried about commission. Xx

Re: Breast sizes
Sorry to hear you're having a tough time with you PC hun, you are well within your rights to change to a different one if you feel she's treating you differently to other patients just because you got a cheaper price. But I understand also that at this late stage you probably won't want the hassle of all that.
The PC was what put me off Transform, as you say it seemed all about commissions. I've heard many great things about the surgeons though. you'll be in safe hands!
