What would you do? HELLP PLEASE!!!

Evening all I had my BA on march 21st a few days later I was flicking thought the little book they give me with the guarantee cards in and I noticed on the cards it said the name and type and size of implant! I was a little shocked when I seen that I had 525cc instead of the 545cc that was suggested and agreed up on with my surgeon on my consultation day and the morning of surgery! I KNOW it's only 20cc"s different!!! But if you ordered and paid for an Audi a6 and when it was delivered you got the Audi a5 you wouldn't accept it would you?? I need help on this as my appointment with a different surgeon ( same company ) is tomorrow at 4.30 not sure what to do go bigger and have what I was suppose have OR try and get some money back ? Baring in mind I'm pretty happy with my boobies I have now and so is my husband very very much lol

Did you ask the surgeon why was the larger size not put in?

Sorry oops forgot to put that in yes I did he looked confused when I brought this up he had to take a long hard look at my file and was looking more confused when he couldn't find the reason why ? He raised his shoulders and said in his Italian accent ' I don't know why ' ,, if he said to me that he couldn't of fitted the 545cc's in then I obviously would accept that but he didn't know why him self xxx what would you do ? This is doing my brain in lol

I have to admit I am hugely boob greedy, i have recently gone from 470 to 615 and the difference is actually very minimal but i thought i would be bigger, so i think for 20cc and if i was happy with the size i have at the moment i probably wouldnt do nothing xx

I think i will always have boob greed, no matter how big i get them lol i wouldnt go no bigger now but i know i will always want bigger lol I am hugely boob greedy and its a horrible thing lol

I still wear padded or a push up bra's lol NOW that's what you call greed hahaha should I ask for a little bigger then I was supposed to be originally getting lol or would that be cheeky of moi ???

If you're happy with your boobs hun, I wouldn't even consider putting yourself through an unnecessary re-op to have bigger implants

You could try and get some monetary compensation, but I wouldn't hold your breath hun. We had a girl on here not so long back who went through a similar thing and could get nothing but the re-op as compensation at all. Legally because the clinic offered to put things right with a re-op they weren't obliged at all to give a pay out as compensation babe... but it's always worth a try if its something you want to do. xx

Same thing sort of happened to me. During the pre-op consultation we agreed that he would put in 425, but will bring 400 and 450 just in case. When he did the markings, he confirmed he brought all three sizes. After the op when I woke up in the recovery room, first thing I asked the nurse what size were put in me. I was really disappointed to hear only 400. :( I know it's only 25cc and I'm sure it wouldn't have been a noticeable difference but still, I had my mind set on the 425!

Saturday is my 1 week post op and I will def make sure to ask if he at least tried to put in the 425s! I don't think I'd make Abigail deal out of it, but he better have a good reason!

Maybe he found the the 525cc were better during the op? I didn't know whether I was getting 210 or 240, I only found out afterwards. If this is the case he should have written it down since it would be something easy to forget with all the patients he sees.

Personally I wouldn't go through it all again for 20cc which is minimal xxx

Hi roxanne he didn't give me a reason why he only used 525cc he didn't know why him self! He did have it written down on my notes I've seen them pre op and post op it's there in black and white 545cc with a big circle round it lol xxxx

Hi Trish, it is unprofessional of them not to give you a good reason. However if I were you I wouldn't do a re-op just for 20cc, it's not worth it. You are very brave to consider a re-op already 4 months post-op hehehe!!!

I agree with the girls, 20ccs is less than a shot glass worth of liquid, so it wouldn't even be noticable. Like Dawn said, she got quite a large "upgrade" and hardly notices. We all stress about size, but on your next op in however many years it is, you can always decide to go even bigger!

I think this is rediculas now I'm still waiting for a reply my pcc said I will defenetly get to see my surgeon in September but hay! Look at the date it's the end of September and no appointment date has been given once again pi$$ed right off with sallyjane evens & mr seno from THE HOSPITAL GROUP this isn't professional it's a joke

So sorry you're having so much difficulty getting an appointment babe. When you call, I'd just ask the receptions for an appointment with your surgeon, I'd bypass your PCC.

If they refuse to do that then tell them you're unhappy with the service provided and would like to use the complaints procedure provided by the clinic. Hopefully they'll fit you in then.

How are you feeling about your boobs now hun? I was just thinking after re-reading your original post that there's a possibility the size agreed just didn't fit on the day. This can happen as even surgeons can only give you a guesstimate. Your surgeon really should have informed you though if this were the case.

Do you want a re-op? Or another form of compensation? Xx

20cc is nothing, you said you're happy with your boobs so I would just leave it to be honest. x

I definitely wouldn't put myself forward for an unnecessary operation, you're happy with your boobs so why risk the possibility of complications for 20cc? I'd perhaps go the compensation route if there was no real reason for the mix up.

Whatever you decide best of luck, and as Cookie said go down the complaints procedure route if you aren't getting anywhere. Xx

I agree, 20cc is less than a "shot glass" full of liquid - think about that measly little amount, it's not worth it hunni
but still make them see you that is truly bad business!!!

Hiya ladies I've just managed to get an appointment on 23 oct so lets wait and see what happens I know 20cc's is a minimal l amount that's why I was gonna ask for more then. 20 but like you's girls have all said its another op! I've got some major questions to ask and then some major thinking xxx

Hiya all you lovely ladies xx I went to my appointment to see my surgeon once again to see why I got smaller implants then was agreed on, he still didn't give me a clear answer and I asked him for a re-op or some money back haha you should of seen his face when I said the word money hahaha it was funny he said no and that's not up to me ask your PCC about that then I asked again why I got smaller he said. I didn't have them in stock, ha! Haa! Now we are getting somewhere I said so I was told 3 different sizes would be ordered and there waiting for me,, any way he said it would be a waste of time re-doing them just for 20cc that's when I was cheeky and asked for a re-op to 600cc he looked at me and said no not for free but will do it for a small fee ( me and hubby not happy but I think I would be willing to pay £1000 towards it so we left it as that and he said go talk to sally my lovely PCC so we did she instantly said I can have a re-op to any suitable size I like at no extra cost and I got it in black and white on paper ( to have re-op at no extra cost to any suitable size due to company error ) so I'm very happy but gonna have to wait till next year as me and my husband has just found out we are EXSPECTING our 4th baby :) HAPPY DAYS ;)
