Four Month Impatience
I'm four months today, and love my boobs more and more
However, on one side the lower outer part is still not as round as the other side, and the upper outer pole is still more round too on this side. It's very subtle, but I can see it. Also, when I bend forward the under part that isn't as rounded shows a ripple, unlike the other more rounded side. This is the only place I can see the rippling. It looks like this is my lazy boob, but I'd like it to just be more rounded at the bottom and less at the top like the other one.
I know it's not the first time I mention this, but my boobs don't appear to have changed in the last month, I feel it's all ground to a halt. Needless to say I'm feeling impatient

Re: Four Month Impatience
You are still just 4 months PO Roxanne, so it may "feel" like they've gone as far as they'll go regarding changes but you probably have quite a way to go yet. Remember it can generally take 6 months to a year to see the final results.
To me it sounds like this boob is just being lazy, stay patient and remind yourself that your boobs are still relitively new. X

Re: Four Month Impatience
You've such a way to go yet Roxanne before you see the final result lovely. My boobs corrected their asymmetry at 3 months and dropped around that time too, but it was the 6 month post-op marker when my boobs really started to soften and take on a natural bouncy shape with lots of lower pole fullness and the softening continued till 12 months post op babe. So you're still early days hun and they may very well still have many changes to come, subtle as they might be, they make a big difference. xx
Re: Four Month Impatience
Thank you for reminding me again, I need the reminding which is why it's not the first time I bring it up.
In theory it's all fine, but in practice I struggle to be patient.
I also feel the bottom of the implant more on that lazy side, I feel the implant on the same spot that I see the ripple when I bend forward, again I've said this before, but feel the need to say it again. I can touch that spot of the implant and poke at it.
Also, they're feeling softer when I'm standing or forward, but when I lie down they still feel hard. My lazy side doesn't flatten as much either when I lie down on my back, it's not as gradual as the other one so doesn't look as natural as the other side.
Thank you for listening to me once again. I really do need the reminder
that it's still early days so reading your stories is reassuring xxx

I think this comes with us always having a 'natural' bit of asymmetry to the breasts. Many of us seem to be able to feel the implant underneath on one side more so than the other. No two breasts are exactly the same though, so it sorta makes sense doesn't it that one may feel slightly different. I too can feel one implant underneath and not the other. I use it like I'd use a stress ball poking it in and out haha.
Rippling really isn't a problem unless it's 'very' visible. Again, many of us have some degree of rippling, especially with overs and it's something we can live with. If you don't think it's something you can live with hun, then do get in touch with your surgeon and discuss it with him ensuring your concerns are noted for the possibility of it worsening. Not that it will. But just to cover your back... or boobs lol.
Also, they're feeling softer when I'm standing or forward, but when I lie down they still feel hard.
This is probably how they're always going to feel babe. Mine too are a lot firmer when on my back than standing. I think as we lay back and the tissue/fat surrounding the implant spreads out and thins, you loose the soft cushion and are feeling only implant.

Sounds like your lazy side still has a bit of catching up to do hun, but like I said, at just 4 months post-op, you've a way to go in your healing yet and it still has plenty of time to catch up.

This is what we're here for Roxanne. Any concerns at all lovely, just fire away and you've been here long enough now to know we'll do all we can to help xx
Re: Four Month Impatience
That's the thing though, my 'lazy' side is my bigger side. Normally it would have more lower pole than the other. But it was also the saggier side so may have had more aggressive lifting during the mastopexy and take longer to heal. The fact that it's still fuller at the top than the other also indicates it hasn't dropped as much yet. That's my theory at least
The only rippling I can properly notice just looking is that bit I'm talking about, so no, I can't say it's a problem. I too use the bit of implant there as a stress ball
I certainly don't expect them to ever feel like natural boobs, but again, the lazy boob is letting me down when I lie down and I wouldn't say no to a little more softening

Hey lovely, I bet it's so frustrating when it feels like nothing is happening, but as the ladies have said, you've still a way to go in your recovery and I'm sure your lovely boobies will continue to soften and even out, even the lazy one!
And omg! Your new avi is AMAZING! Love it!! xx

Thank you Sunshine!
They have seen to have stopped changing in the last month, yeah it's frustrating. They don't feel like they're done though, that's the thing, they do still have some post op pain and sensitivity, I'm guessing the mastopexy slows things down.
I know I've told you already, but your avi is amazing too, how's your healing going? xxx

Re: Four Month Impatience
It's such a big procedure you've been through, I have to remind myself sometimes how much extra healing you've had to do compared to a bog standard BA... Have patience my dear, they will come good xx
Ahh thank you! Isn't the difference amazing when you put them in the right bra!! Healing is going fine thank you, I don't have any discomfort, they're still a bit hard to touch but I had so little tissue before that i'll always be able to feel the implant, the scars are doing ok, the only annoyance is my righty which still has no feeling in the whole breast.

Re: Four Month Impatience
It's so hard being patient isn't it? My lazier side had less feeling than the other, but it's all slowly coming back. I still can't feel my tummy, as I've told you before it can take a good year to get the feeling back sometimes longer. How great is it not to stare at your clothes wondering which tops will cover up the yucky sports bra? It's so liberating to wear whichever top you choose after that! xxx

Re: Four Month Impatience
Totally agree with the girls, fab advice as always. The first 6 months is the hardest for patience, then before you know it your a year post op then 2 and you wonder where the time has gone.
Re: Four Month Impatience
Despite my impatience I still accept that one boob is lazier than the other, though I can't promise it's the last time I moan impatiently about being impatient
However, I now have a concern, not impatience, but a true concern and I'm hoping someone can help me. I've just noticed that my nipple on my lazier side is higher than the other side. But if my lazier side is the one that hasn't dropped yet, shouldn't it be this side that has the lower nipple? I don't know if what I'm saying makes sense, but I would think when a boob 'drops' the nipple is higher after once there's less upper pole and more lower pole, not before. Now this has me worried because I only just noticed it, and my nipples had looked on even levels. It was all going so well and I don't quite know what to make of this xxx

Re: Four Month Impatience
That was my understanding too Roxanne, that as the breast dropped, the nipple rose.
I'm wondering if you're starting to over analyse your boobs though? I know I do this all the time and can come up with something new to worry about everytime if I look hard enough lol when really it's nothing to be concerned about at all.
I'm not saying this for you too, just wondered with you not seeing it last time you posted.
If the difference is only marginal, then I wouldn't worry to be honest Roxanne. A slight asymmetry is normal and this this common for many of us and you're still early in your healing yet, but if you're unhappy with how your boobs are healing lovely then it might be best for you to arrange to see your surgeon to go through your concern and at the very least have it noted for now just so you might feel better whilst you continue to go on healing. xx

Re: Four Month Impatience
I know I may be over analyzing my boobs, I can't help it. Thing is my lazier side was also my saggier side pre lift, now I'm worried it'll be the opposite when they finish settling. I don't know, maybe both need to settle more than I thought, but one side definately feels more settled than the other. It's not enough right now to do anything about it. I'm best giving it another two months and then booking a check-up then so I know they've had more of a chance to settle, and a better idea if there really is anything to be concerned about. This waiting game is doing my head in xxx
