Stretchmarks Empty Stretchmarks

Post by icecream 1st August 2012, 6:20 am

Pre-teen I was on the heavy side. When I met my 1st boyfriend (14 yr old), I lost all the baby fat, but gained stretchmarks! Stretchmarks 869500

2 kids later, I have even more stretchmarks! Stretchmarks 683465

Some women are really lucky to not get a single stretchmark after having a baby. All I can do is be green with envy when I see women in bikinis with smooth, glowing skin.

To the ladies with stretchmarks, what do you do when you have to wear a bikini? Do you just ignore it and let it be? Is there something you can cover it up with? I know all the moisturisers and oils will not make them disappear. But I can't help but feel so conscious about them!

I have some stretchmarks on my breasts too sweetie from breast feeding the kids.

I've just come to terms with them to be honest. I didn't get any more than I have from having my BA, but I guess that's due to my skin already being stretched after being engorged with breast milk.

I have to honest and tell you that mine don't really bother me. They look better infact now the skin has stretched over the implant, so just a smooth silver line. I just throw my bikini on and just strut my stuff hun haha.

You're having your BA tomorrow (good luck!) and you'll probably find too that at first the stretch marks might look dark, but don't worry about that, it's fine, they'll settle to just a silver line that you'll probably take little notice of when you have a fine pair of boobs to focus on Stretchmarks 184153 xx

Yes it has babe. Stretchmarks 1978086825 After finishing breast feeding the skin in parts had deep purple stretch marks and had some like rippling appearance on the skin. My BA stretched the marks back out, so no more rippling and the deeper stretch marks had flattened out to a silver line. They're much better looking now than before for sure Pammie. xx

I have a few stretch marks on my tummy but they all come from my appendix scar, as the skin had already been stretched from the op. Tbh I am not bothered by them one bit as they are a small price to pay for having 4 lovely babies . I got them on my boobs from breastfeeding but they are barely visable since my b a's xx

I have stretch marks from having my kids. They are on my tummy, hips, thighs, backs of my knees and also go down to my calfs. They're really big thick ones as well. Being mixed race i've moisturised religiously from being in my teens because i have really dry skin. It didn't make an ounce of difference. I never wear skirts or shorts at home no matter what the weather but when i'm on holiday i let it all out. I used to wear trousers on the beach! I had to stop being that self conscious because i was having a horrible time. I always take a good look round me at the pool, then i realise that i am not the worst sight there. All the men are usually drooling over the 20 yr olds, and the women are looking at them with envy. No-one's looking at me (i hope).
I always edit the holiday pics before i show them to anyone though. lol

I have stretch marks from growing when I was younger and then being heavier in my 20's, god help me if I finally have kids. I'm past caring about stretchmarks they've been with me so long. I did look into having them reduced or removed, but I just dont see the point anymore. With these boobs in a bikini very few people notice my stretchmarks. I do hide my butt though, but thats for celluite purposes.
