So i had a provisional booking to have my BA on the 4th sept bt then i get a call saying my surgeon is on hols and he cant do that date.

Fair enough peopel take hols bt i cant move my dates as ive had to sort aout all my childcare and hubby being off after etc.

They were faba dn said i could go with the other surgeon and still have that date after a few calls and me saying that i cant change dates.

Now im realy worried as i had my heart set on my surgeon and im worried that i wont like the new surgeon which is probably rubbish and only becasue i had my heart set on the first!! feeling abit stressed 856466

Feeling worried that i should start my search again??

Got a nother app with the other surgeon on the 14 aug bt this is only 3 weeks before my opp so im presuming that it will b classed as my 2nd app nt the 1st with this surgeon.

I also asked to be sent a copy of the aftercare the week before last and still havent had it??

I realy like these people bt worried now that ive made the wrong choice???

This could just be pre op nerves especially as you had done all your research with the 1st surgeon and you were happy to go ahead with him, now that everything has changed I can understand why it would be more stressful for you.

If you feel that you have made the wrong choice by swapping surgeons, although it would be dissapointing and it means a longer wait, you can always undo all your plans for 3 weeks time and try to book another date in a few months time when you can rearrange your plans for.

hey ks

Thats quite annoying i can see why you might be having second thoughts. Did you put a deposit down? if you didnt t may be why he may of decided to take his holidays possibly there was not other surgeys for him to peform that week with out a deposit its not really set in stone for them. If you really feel hes the surgeon for you id personally try to rearrange your plans, its such a big decision and you want to get it right & have the right surgeon x

Such a big decision hun!! I think you have to work out if having that date or having your surgeon is more important to you. I think its worth doing a lot of research into the surgeon you have been allocated with now and then weigh up the positives and negatives of them both.
I think at this point it's best to keep your options open - go to the consultation with this new surgeon and see how you feel. But if you don't feel as happy with him as you did with the other surgeon, don't be afraid to say so. Having a BA is a big decision and you want to be sure you're in safe hands. feeling abit stressed 48411
