Numb Boob
Is there anythign you can do to encourage the feeling to return, or is it one of those things it either will or wont. My left one the whole inside half is dead to the world, it hasnt even slightly improved over the weeks/months. I know It can take up to a year to return if its going to and aware it might never come back.
Would a ''light'' massage just in that area help, or is this all hear say??

Re: Numb Boob
My right boob is totally numb still and no sign of improving either, it gets to a point where it's less noticeable to yourself though, it doesn't bother me as much now as it did a few months ago, it's like you get used to it and don't realise the numbness so much xx

Re: Numb Boob
I'm the same as SS i've gotten used to it now and dont notice it, i'm just happy my nipple sensation is back to normal, the underside of my boobs are a little numb. Trying gentle massage couldn't hurt to encourage sensation x

Re: Numb Boob
I can feel mine gradually getting better. My nipnips weren't a problem, it's just the underside of my boobs. I'm [see ticker!] months post op now, and they're still numb, but gradually the feeling's returning.

Re: Numb Boob
Sorry I cant help here!! I dont think mine have ever been numb? I guess you mean you 'feel' numb rather han to the 'touch' ?? I was made aware of this occurring and told as you it could take up to a year to return. I would ring the clinic to clarify and seek advice to try and help feeling return. Good luck.

it usually takes months for the feeling to come back but like other girls have said, you get used to it sort of and it doesn't bother you as much.
the feeling will come back though.
mine are numb all over the tops this time though when i had my unders it was more at the bottom.

Me too! I'm at a similar stage to you and the underside of both my boobs as well as my nipples are numb. Saying that though, I do think there's a tiny improvement so maybe it's a really gradual thing? I'd love to be able to feel them as it does feel a bit like I'm prodding someone else's boob! LOL

Re: Numb Boob
Hey, I had my stitcges removed on Monday and I asked about the numbness. My nipples are over-sensitive, even clothes touching- aaargh. and under my boobs they're numb. He told me that the nerves always have to grow back, and they only grow about 2mm in a day, so roughly it takes about 1 month for the feeling to return. I already have got the feeling returning on the sides, and I can feel the difference every day with the under parts as well, they are slowly reaching their destination Hopefully these nipples will get over their shock soon too, lol.
