Re: Post op bra.
I've found it's trial & error.. I've got a high impact shock absorber bra & I bought some high impact ones from M&S, plus some cheapies from Asda (but they're pointy). I'm wearing the M&S ones mostly, the shock absorber one is great on the boobs, but a but tight on the band (even though it's the size they said to buy). I'm also wearing those 'genie' bras, which are much more comfy & have a removable pad in the cup, though I don't think they're quite as supportive. I'm nearly 5 weeks post op now & am only now starting to feel generally more comfortable, but it varies from one person to another.
But your surgeon should tell you what size to buy, so make sure you ask if they don't tell you. xxxx

Re: Post op bra.
Do you have to wear a bra immediately after surgery?
I had to wait a week and judged it then what size I'd need.... if you have to wear one straight away then ask your surgeon. You'll probably be given two different sizes.
Roxanne recommended these bras to me after the high impact (and expensive) ones that I bought were cutting in and hurting me post op when I was swollen. I can highly recommend these as you'll need somthing with a bit of stretch!

Good luck babe xx

Re: Post op bra.
Sunshine, i like the price of those, are they really supportive?
I'm having dual plane & surgeon said i would have to wear a band.
Do you wear the band and the bra together?
I know i should have asked my surgeon these questions but they've only just popped in my brain

They're supportive but they're not high impact so they're not the most supportive if you know what I mean. The emphasis is on comfort with these ones. To be honest, for that price, I'd get one as you will need something that will stretch with you a bit in the first clue of weeks. I was shocked how sore I got around my ribs and chest when i wore a high imoact sports bra. I've been living in these for the past 4 weeks.
I have to wear a band for 6 hours a day and I wear the band under my bra.
Hope this helps! :) xx

Thanx hun.
It's cleared some of my confusion.
How do you find the band? I've read some people think it's really uncomfortable.
Could i take a look pics please.

Re: Post op bra.
I bought two macoms, as they expand to fit your cup size whatever size you end up. They're pretty ugly and expensive, but it avoids the problem of buying ones that are the wrong size. They sell the bands too xxx

Ooooo they're definitely passion killers but it removes the guesswork of pre op bra buying.
