Worried about sports bra
Originally I bought about 6 sports bras in all different sizes. I started off wearing a 36DD after surgery then the band got slack and loose so I then went onto wearing a 34E. It fits around the boob area but it's slack at the top and can be quite slack round the band too.
The other day I bought this bra below from Debenhams because it's non wired and very comfy. I tried on all sorts of band sizes and cups and the one I bought was a 34E but now I am wondering whether the band is too big so I have wasted £14.40 now. Also, I don't even know if it's suitable to wear either?
I am so worried about my boobs not being supported enough and bottoming out or something going horribly wrong with the shape or something! I don't know what size to buy and that's the biggest issue I think? Also I don't want to spend a fortune on a sports bra which is the wrong type or something.
Also, I just felt my scar and on one I could feel a sharp bit of a stitch..even though they are meant to be dissolvable. I am not having a good day today at all..no hot water..oh the joys.
xx

Re: Worried about sports bra
I personally dont rate Asdas sportsbras lovely, I just don't think they give you enough support through your recovery.
I'd look for a 'high impact' sportsbra that's going to hold your new boobs stable and keep them snug and comfortable.
Marks and Spencers do a front zip-up sports bra that I used through my recovery, they've updated the one I used now, but it's the same and I'd highly recommend it. I don't think they have them in store though from what I've been reading online and you'll only be able to get them on their website.
I'd suggest you go for a fitting in Marks and Spencer and then get them to order the bra in for you babes, this way you'll know you've have a proper fitting and will be getting a bra that's going to give you the support you need.
You avatar of you looks like you're very slim and a 36 band would be far too big for you, a 34 may have been fine whilst you have swelling but I'd suggest you may be a 32 band hun, possibly an E cup.
The stitch you're feeling is very normal hun, just make an appointment with your clinic nurse and she'll snip the stitch for you and ease it out. It's best not to pull it yourself sweetheart as any openings are prone to infection, so just get the nurse to do it.
Also whilst the stitch is coming through it's best not to put any creams or oils on it, again due to the risk of infection. xxx

Re: Worried about sports bra
Thanks cookie, off into town tomorrow so will get measured at M&S see if they can help.
Thank goodness about the stitch. I have an appointment with the nurse in a few weeks anyway so is it safe to wait until then? xx

Re: Worried about sports bra
I am with Cookie, I have 2 Asda bra s and dont rate them, not enough support and too low cut. The Marks ones look good. Honestly though my Sainsburys ones were brilliant and only a fiver xx

Yeah, as long as it's not bothering you at all it'll be fine babe. xx
Re: Worried about sports bra
Great thank you.
I think it will be good to get measured at this point so I have a good idea of what size to buy and then can go from there  xx

Re: Worried about sports bra
The zip up ones Cookie is suggesting are the ones I picked up today. I had to order them online to be delivered in store (which is free)
And they seem just as supportive as the shock absorber run bra I bought. Xxx

Better for you to invest in two good ones than to keep buying loads of unsupportive cheap ones that just don't do the job xx

Re: Worried about sports bra
I found ones from Tesco to be good. Could get a couple of them to wear between washes. Still wear them now for the gym.
I had a M&S one but wasn't impressed - must have had a dodgy zip! It kept undoin! Lol

Re: Worried about sports bra
I bought a 2 pack from M&S and I've found them really good, think they were £25 and they really feel like they're holding my boobs in place. Would definitely recommend - they're not sexy at all though haha! X

Re: Worried about sports bra
Thanks everyone for your advice, I was meant to go into town today but did not get to sleep until 5am, not sure why maybe it is because I stayed up to finish 50 shades book oops. Feel rubbish now so going to have to go in the week. Will give M&S a visit and shop around xx
