Feeling down, rubbish day!
Hi all
Just having a moan, first day back at work today and to tell the truth I don't think I was ready for it because I am still struggling to change into 5th gear without it aching and my boobs have ached all day . Still feeling a bit down about the size too, they look so much smaller in clothes and bras and then when I take my bra off they look bigger..how does that work!
Having a rubbish day in general too, was sick first thing this morning with a huge headache and just other issues getting me down!
Blurghhh xx

Re: Feeling down, rubbish day!
Chin up hun, when you are feeling down think of the positives in your life, not the negatives. If you wore padded bra s and chicken fillets before your ba then your clothes will probably look much the same in clothes. When I had my first b a done people said I did nt need it but that was only because I wore liquid gel bra s and they did make my boobs look bigger. But when I got them out to those who wanted to see them it was a different story Try and cheer up a bit coz its still early days yet and the fluff fairy will surely come ! xx

Re: Feeling down, rubbish day!
Babe I am very sure the fluff fairy will come ,because Cookie said on another thread that in all the years she has been on this forum she only knows of 3 women the fairy never visited !!Hopefully she will come along soon and put your mind at rest. Dont worry . If you are a newbie you cant see other girls pics but I have seen some amazing transformations and most of the girls ,like you ,were worried they would nt get bigger but did. Mine did too. I had same size implants this time yet went from a DD to an E .So dont worry and be patient hun, xx

Sounds like a case of boobie blues for you hun, but it will get better!!
Regarding size I can totally relate, for a lot of us we stuffed our bra's with as much padding as possible so under clothes they can very much look like what we once disguised them to be! Adding to that they're probably quite numb in places (most likely underneath), I think this just adds to the feeling of looking no different... It's easy to forget its all boob. Don't forget you'll still be in sports bra's at this stage, they will do absolutely nothing for us - they're designed to compact and support our breasts, once you get into some lovely bra's they will enhance your new shape!
Take it one day at a time, you're early PO and have plenty of changes to go through AND you're still recovering from an operation. I think you'll be just fine hun, you just need to remember you're only human and your body needs time X

Thanks Alice,
I am a bit worried as I bought a new bra yesterday which said medium support and it's just a Debenhams comfort medium support bra..but now I am worried thinking it's not enough support?
God sake lol xx

Re: Feeling down, rubbish day!
You would be better off in a high impact support bra lovely, especially as you're experiencing aching from your boobs.
I agree with Kay hun, it does sound like you've hit the boobie blues If you genuinely think it's more than that though and you're not ready to go back to work, then do yourself a favour hun and take the time off you need to heal. You won't be the first to have felt like they went back to early and I know for sure you wont be the last either. So do listen to your body lovely and don't push yourself beyond what you're able.
Boobie Greed is another BA classic for many women sweetheart. When wearing sportsbras they flatten out your breasts and create the most unattractive illusion under your clothes, but I assure you LadyV, when you're in wires and can make the most of your new assets, you'll see a whole new you and the great possibilities you will can achieve from your BA, there's bras to hike 'em up creating that fake look, there's bras to push 'em together and give you that killer cleavage, there's padded bras would you believe for larger busted women haha that can add more volume (if you'd even want it after healing) and there's more modest T-shirt bras and the like that most of us use for work.. so please dont do your new boobs down just yet lovely. You haven't seen the best of 'em yet!!!!! Sound so cliche but true - GIVE THEM TIME. xxxx

Re: Feeling down, rubbish day!
Thanks everyone & oh no letsfreedomsing I got really bored after op too it really frustrated me and upset me, felt like an invalid and couldn't do much for myself.
I work in admin so I only do light tasks but I have to drive there every day and it's about 45 minute drive so I think that's getting to me too the whole 5th gear and steering.

Re: Feeling down, rubbish day!
Hi Kay, today has been a bit rubbish, having a lot of aches and pains and side effects from painkillers too. I have this odd painful ache in the middle of my chest almost like my ribs are aching its very odd but painkillers aren't helping..so strange! xx

Re: Feeling down, rubbish day!
Thats the swelling on your sternum lovely, again all normal and does settle. Ice packs will help to ease the pain.
The ribs hurting is awful isn't it and again will settle as you get more mobile and your posture corrects itself.
If you can sweetie, try to reduce the heavy painkillers. Maybe just take those before bed and first thing in the morning when pain may be at its worst. Then just stick to paracetamol throughout the day as the heavy meds do put back your recovery I feel hun as they make you feel ill and you'll start to feel much better within yourself when you stop those lovely. xx
