THG- experiences.not sure whats standard
Hi ,
Me again.
I've been interested in booking with Mr Sultan Hussan and I was given one date.
I won't be seeing a co-ordinator just the surgeon.
Is this right? One appt to choose from?
I have an.appt with Mya on Saturday they were not pushy, they told me to research etc.
I see a consultant first and then surgeons.
Thanks
Kenzie

Hiya,
I had my BA & Lift at THG, Mr Hassan was my surgeon. I have nothing but good things to say at this stage about THG and Mr Hassan's work.
Strange that you are not seeing a co-ordinator, I did, and i presume other ladies who went to THG Did also, it it at the Bromsgrove clinic?

Do remember that patient co-ordinators have NO medical training, they are sales women, so other than to try and sell you a product and keep you appeased should you become impatient about anything, they dont do anything other than that.
In bypassing a patient co-ordinator, you're missing nothing at all, so dont worry hun.
Do research your surgeon, take your time and never book on the day lovely, always take time away to digest the surgery plan given and preferably have more than one consultation so you have at least one other to compare with before deciding. xx

Hi ,
I wrote to BAAPS with regards to Mr Hassans qualifications and below is the response.
''Mr Hassan is a Trainee Member of the BAAPSand as such he will not be listed in the public section of our website. It may be that he has completed his training but conversion to full membershipis dependent on very specific criteria, one of which is to hold a substantiveconsultant post in the NHS for at least two years prior to application.
Since the BAAPS is not a regulatory body Isuggest you contact the regulatory body for all medical practitioners in theUK, the General Medical Council, who will be able to confirm Mr Hassan’squalifications to you and specifically whether or not he holds the FRCS(Plast), which is the qualification you should be looking for in any plasticsurgeon. This indicates that he will have completed his specialisttraining in plastic surgery and is eligible to be listed on the specialistregister for plastic surgery held by the GMC. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Thank you for your enquiry.

For the BAAPS''
the qualifications ive checked, only appear to be pending.
I sthiss something to dismiss etc. Im reading up on surgeons and getting opinions before visiting any surgeons. If they get great reviews , have the experience and qualifications...then ill get a consultation...
Thankyou for Cookies article on that poor lady with the burst stitches and the lady who had it abroad.
I had briefly considered going abroad...is there any link to her story.

I went with THG - I saw my surgeon at the consultation then did not see anyone else until my surgery date.
It was fine. All went well and have only good things to say. I wouldn't worry hun
