Pain - almost 1 year post op :-( Empty Pain - almost 1 year post op :-(

Post by rachyg1 8th June 2012, 6:46 pm

Hi all. I had 390CC overs last July. All was well until recently. In the last few weeks I have developed a "stingy" pain/ache at the upper outer quadrant of my left breast and slightly into my armpit. Sometimes it is worse than others. My little toddler kicked me accidentally in the same breast a few weeks ago and I remember wondering at the time whether the implants can rupture due to things like that. I have a check up on 20th June - thought I had better get there asap as my aftercare only covers me for the first year. Any thoughts/advice would be gratefully recieved as I am a little worried. Thanks x

It would take a lot more than a kick to the breast to rupture your implants babe, so I would put that out of your mind Pain - almost 1 year post op :-( 571992

Just to offer you further reassurance, I have personally been told by nurses that a doctor had conducted his own test to figure just how robust our implants are by running one over in his car!! haha. The implant went right under the wheels and came out still intact. Pain - almost 1 year post op :-( 1978086825

Chances are that your little one has kicked a muscle and it's that, that is now aching. Do discuss with with your surgeon Rach, but I'm sure all will be fine. xx

Thanks Cookie. That's reassured me that rupture is probably not a likely cause of my pain then. Hope it's nothing serious and settles down. So annoying that all has been well until now. Mind you, better now than after the year deadline I suppose in case there is a problem. Thanks for the advice x
