Can you still have surgery if you are on your monthly...? I am due for it, I can stop it as I am on the pill so I can carry on a pack..what should I do?

You'll be fine, many girls have their surgery at that time of the month. You may need to tell your nurse on the day of surgery and I think they give you a jumbo matress pad to put in your underwear. Dont panic though this happens all the time.

Thanks just got worried that it might stop my surgery! I am debating on whether to just skip the break and go onto the next pack to stop the period...hmmm xx

We're you not told to come off the pill prior to your op? I wasn't by my surgeon but my dr advised it so I came off 2 weeks before... It meant I timed it perfectly to avoid it being on or just after my surgery date!x

I had my period the day of my surgery sweetness and had to wear a pad that was near bigger than me! May be a stupid/gross question but.. 557141

I use tampons but they don't like youu to use these, so I'd recommend you take your own , human sized sanitary towels rather than get one made for King Kings mother! haha xx

Not everyone needs to come off the pill preop, it depends on many factors such as what time of pill you're on (Progesteron only or combined pill). Its down to surgeon/anaesthetist preference. If they say its ok then its ok. No worries if you're on your period either.x
