Is it too early to buy a bikini?
I'm 5 weeks PO tomorrow and I'm going into town and thought while I'm there I could treat myself to a new bikini incase we have any more incredible British weather (unlikely).
I realise I have to protect my scars for a year and can't wear underwires until I have my surgeons say so, must stay in sports bras etc... But is it ok to have a bikini ready for in a week or two ...more likely 8 months for that one day of sunshine
I promise I won't get one with wires if so!!x

Yes hun you can get a lovely non wired one. I got a lovely freya non wired bra (online) which is fantastically comfortable and they are in cup sizes, so fit my top half perfect and i can buy whatever size bottoms I need. If you are looking for bikinis in shops that are in dress sizes ie size 10, 12 etc then you might want to buy ones you can mix and match sizes on. It's not the easiest task buying a bikini, try not to get too frustrated.

I really wouldn't be out of your sportsbra for longer than an hour until you get the all clear from your PS altw.... sorry, I always feel like I'm the voice of doom and gloom lol. But the sun, no matter how lovely it is just aint worth you undoing all you've done so far lovely.
A week from now you'll get the all clear from your PS and you'll KNOW you did all you could possibly do to gain the best from your recovery hun.
I'd get the all clear, then have a ball shopping for all the lovely bikinis I wanted with no care if they were wired or not as long as they looked good. xx

Re: Is it too early to buy a bikini?
I used to have the problem of needing an 8 on top and a 10 on the bottom! Now it's probably 12 on top!
I have a size 10 bandeau bikini top but it's too small yay!!! Either my under boobs are on show or my nips are haha. Needing a replacement is no way a problem to me
@ Cook-doom-ie I don't think it's the weather for it this weekend anyway and I was sunbathing in a sports bra when I did... It's more preparation for unexpected good weather... Can I still shop so I have one ready? I think it's over excitedness of having something to put in one! X

Haha it isn't bad cop though... You have our best interests at heart really! Unless you're sat there with your husband giggling away "mwahahaha no bikini for Alice!!"
That's probably the most use it will get for a few months in Britain anyway haha, a few snaps for my phone and a new avi, all for a bargain price of £28 X
