Advice how to deal with work
Its no secret for all of you that I don't get on with my work colleagues (see threat titled 'getting teased for small boobs'). Ive never been shy of the fact about my BA and see no reason to be with my 'friends', but unfortunately with word of mouth it's got back to everybody at work and wow has it spread!
They're not the nicest of people and always force their opinions onto others which tend to be racist, homophobic or sexist! I cause a bit of a backlash because I always bite back and don't take it on the chin when they say something innapropriate or offensive (and why should I!)
I'm just dreading how to handle it when I go back and they're thinking they have any right to make ANY comments about my boobs. I'm the ONLY girl in my department and in the whole place it's approximately 30 men to 5 women! I'm in the minority on this! I deliberately make no effort for work, wear baggy tshirts and don't wear makeup because men being men, they can be quite pervy!
I don't want to hear their opinions so I'm considering the first time someone says ANYTHING going straight to the manager and telling him I feel uncomfortable. Surely as one of his only female employees he has a duty to ensure she isn't being harassed by his male employees?
I just wondered if anyone has any tips? I can't joke it off because they're relentless and once it's accepted it will never stop!
Dreading going back now! Luckily though I look totally the same as before in tops (Thankyouuu Atlantis and your 'increase upto two cup sizes' gel filled bras for the smooth transition), so I've also considered just denying it and saying "if I was going to have a boob job, wouldn't I have massive boobs?!" not sure what would be the better option, nipping it in the bud or denial?

Re: Advice how to deal with work
Hey altw, i know the feeling about the teasing...i went through that at one point until i mentioned reporting anyone else who commented on their size. If anyone at work found out i'd report them to human resources and force the company /employer to take action. No where is it acceptable for you to have to go through **naughty word** at work only for other people to get their kicks. If work don't do anything about it CAB will always be happy to help in pointing you in the right direction.

You don't have to respond at all altw and I think you're right to take any comments about your breasts or any other parts of your body and complain to your manager.
You go to work to 'WORK' not to endure endless harassment sweetness and you don't have to take it. Don't give any one of them any leeway and make it clear from the start that your body is your business, it's not up for discussion and any comments that make you feel uncomfortable will be reported.
I even wanna go with you and give them my 'I JUST DARE YOU' look! lol.
Really hoping you're going to be OK hun, a lot of men get that Katie Price vision going on when they hear the word 'boob job' so maybe you'll shut them all up anyway when you return just as you left, but maybe with a bit more confidence and a lot more attitude!
You go girl! xx

Thanks for the advice girls, I didn't know if it was a bit OTT going to the manager but I'm sure if word gets out there's a gagging order when it comes to my boobs I can work in peace!
I went in for a minute today to give my manager a note from the nurse to say I could only do light duties when I come back and his eyes dropped, maybe that was me just being paranoid but there was and will be nothing to see! So maybe that alone will make them think it's false rumours!x

Lool probably being paranoid, Since coming back to work after my op I've had a few people asking me to go for drinks and one guy has asked me out for dinner! It might just be the way you carry yourself now :-).

Definitely agree, I think it improves confidence a million times over! Which is probably more noticeable than the boobs! My body isn't perfect and I need to get to the gym, but I can handle some flabby bits when I have a nice pair of boobs! I can't wait for shopping, none of this "oh that's nice but I can't wear it without a gel bra"
