hahaha - noooooo - definately not pete burns - i would say thinking of other things to do is because you feel so happy and positive about this tweak - its great when a treat to ourselves makes us feel so good - if you look that good from your hospital bed (in the avi pic) then theres probably not much you need anyway sweet!

Re: the whole surgery experience.
hi alexis
were mostly all set - just got to get paperwork sorted - getting married in Cyprus so have to have proof of legally being able to marry etc done by a solicitor ... which is what Im supposed to be doing - instead of playing on here AGAIN ... I agree its addictive ... really really need to get on though ... maybe in five more minutes!
I confess I did wonder about a little botox being done (frown line in between brows) in the couple of months before we go but Ive read a couple of horror stories on here that have put me off. Shame.
Dont be nervous - you'll love it .... oh and you'll look fab ulous

Re: the whole surgery experience.
I loved the whole experience too
Hoping that the wedding planning will be one of my future topics soon too, lol.
Kat - I used to have botox done and loved it, the only reason I stopped is because I can't afford it anymore. That said there is a cheaper version called Dysport and I didn't get on with that one, though it did work better than botox under my arms to stop sweating.

Aurora - its the dysport one that I read on here about - did you read the lady's thread? - shed had a terrible reaction to it!
When you stopped having the botox did things just settle back to as before? Thats what I was sort of hoping - that I could do it just for the wedding (mad I know) I squint terribly in the sun and it makes that line appear worse - dont want that on the pics if I could avoid it.
Sorry alexis for getting sidetracked for a mo. xx

Re: the whole surgery experience.
I did see that thread but lost track, I can't remember to be honest what she had.
I loved Botox because it smoothed the lines and meant it was harder to frown. As long as you have it done well it doesn't need to give you the frozen expression that everyone thinks it does.
The only time my Mum noticed was when I had a dose at the top of my nose that meant I couldn't screw my nose up (according to my OH me and Mum look a bit like rabbits with wiggly noses when we don't like something) and she commented.
I didn't have any negative side effects and yes it just looked normal when I stopped doing it, but I do miss it. Having got rid of the fine lines on my chest from using bio oil on my boobs for the last 3 months I am now hoping it will have the same effect on my forehead, lol!

Re: the whole surgery experience.
I know what you mean Alexis, I kind of wish I could go back and live through it all over again! Sooo exciting bring taken down to theatre, having them do their thing and then waking up! That's why I say future girls just ENJOY it, it's a great experience.
I'd like microdermabrasion or something similar. Just to freshen up the skin on my face. I'd love a nose job too but I don't think I would have one. I don't like the plastic surgery "look" though, there's a fine line between enhancing what you already have and looking like Pete Burns. x

Re: the whole surgery experience.
OH my god alice , you dont need veneers your teeth are beautiful.
yeah id love microdermabrasion too its funny because i was thinking about it today and theres something with diamond tipped buffers that they can do ..
think ill look into that defiently but i know its not (surgery)
OUCH nose job is a no no, ouch ouch ouch all i can really say to that lol.
james has got his front 6 teeth crowned instead of veneers.
hes got to go back to get them polished propperly sometime this year
(he got them done in turkey ALOT cheaper) so i think i may have to talk him into letting me have some too haha.
actually i dont fancy the crowns tho, wouldnt like them all around my teeth, just veneers ontop of my own & whitened thankyou please :L

Re: the whole surgery experience.
Ohhh I never knew what crowns were just googled, I'd have either. I just want teeth that don't stain.. I drink so much tea and have to whiten mine so would be easier!
I agree GA is nice, atleast if I ever have an op won't freak, but probably won't wake up with boobs! Went to the gym (to see people I know not to train) and a woman there had her boobs done guess who was her surgeon?! Paul Clarke!! I was like ooooh compare!! Hahaa x

REALLY - wow what a good ice breaker :D

Re: the whole surgery experience.
The next thing I'd like to have done is have my spider veins removed. I feel the need to fake tan my legs in the summer just to make them show less, but they still show, even though I'd be more than happy with my natural skin colour.
I enjoyed the whole process too, but I was really tense leading up to it for fear they'd change my date again, or kids would give me a sickness bug, I kind of felt if I'd stop worrying one of these things would happen, silly I know. Also, I wish I hadn't been so sick after my op for so many hours so I could have enjoyed my day in recovery. But the hospital I stayed in and the staff were so excellent, they took good care of me, and I got the boobies I want and c-section scar repaired, that's what matters really :) It was all good, night in the hotel the night before, the anticipation, walking to the hospital first thing in the morning, and the great care from everyone, DH coming to get me the next day with my new boobies :)

Re: the whole surgery experience.
Hers are looking good she had them in October I think! She had a lift too but seems very happy with them!
How long until James is back? I bet he's dying to see the twins!!
Roxanne I use Crest Whitening strips.. Think they're called Professional supreme whitening (the strongest ones they do anyway - but the others are good too). I would never waste time going to the dentist and paying £300ish, I paid £60 for a box back in Nov and still have strips left! Just use them to top up when I've had too many cups of tea x

Thanks I might give them a try. I don't want to spend a fortune at the dentist, and my teeth aren't as white as they used to be xxx

Re: the whole surgery experience.
They're definitely worth it, just use strips for a few days (30mins at a time) and then when they're as white as you think they'll get save the rest for topping it up :D x
