Decisions decisions..
My MRI scan has shown my PIP's are not ruptured in any way, shape or form. They look as good as new which is good news, but I still want them replaced. I don't know where to go from here, who to see or anything? I can't easily swan back and for to loads of different consultations unfortunately, I have a 4 year old who is only in morning nursery. I would like to see Dr Singh for sure as I've heard good things but not sure who he works for. Any recommendations/advice girls? x

Hi there, it's a pity that you have to replace them because yours look perfect. I love them, they are my dream boobs!! But I would do the same if I had PIPs, better be on the safe side. There's another welsh girl on here if I'm not mistaken, welshvicci, and according to her profile she had hers done at The Hospital Group with Mr Hassan. She wrote positive comments about him. She already answered your post here, maybe you could ask her directly:

Re: Decisions decisions..
Tell the surgeon that you're very happy with them and to try to find a matching size and profile. Is it mandatory that all PIPs get replaced or were there exceptions? I'm so sorry for you, it's so unfair!

Re: Decisions decisions..
I think it was originally said that women who had PIP's before 2001 were OK, but now it's thought that all PIP's women are effected (I'm 2008). NHS in Wales (where I live) are removing and replacing for free, so I may go down that route, not sure yet. No idea what implants the NHS use and I'm definitely very fussy about which ones I have now x

Re: Decisions decisions..
So sorry you've been put in this situation hun. Your implants look fab, I actually have a bit of boob envy looking @ your piccy haha! But if it was me, i'd want them replaced simply cause I know i'd feel like I was sitting on a timebomb. I think at the end of the day you have to just go with your gut and do what you feel is best for you emotionally aswell as physically.xx

Oh thank you for the nice message :) you're right, I feel fine now because they're not ruptured but nobody knows what probs the non-medical silicone leaking into your body can cause when they do eventually rupture. At least I should be fine for quite a long time after this op :) And boob envy? your looks huge lol :D x

If I were in your position sweetie, the NHS would be the first step for me.
Why not go and see your GP to arrange to have you see a surgeon, as the surgery is free in Wales you've nothing to lose in taking these steps and gaining the information from them. You're under no obligation to go through with the surgery so if at all you're unhappy with any of the suggestion about your surgery plan you can then go down the road of having your implants replaced privately with Mr Singh if thats your wish. xx
Re: Decisions decisions..
That's true.. I've seen my GP already, I've got all the forms. They're filled in but I need a proof letter from HMG saying they won't replace for free. I've rang them and rang them and they've said it's been sent out, but I would have had it by now :( I'll give them til Monday and have to try and get it again. Wish they would just be helpful and do this little thing for me!

Re: Decisions decisions..
I doubt if they haven't got the decency to remove and replace the implants for free they'd take the time from new clients to be sending out letters for people to go elsewhere, bloody charlatans!
If you could hun, I'd go down in person and demand the letter there and then for you to then to proceed with the essential surgery they aren't offering elsewhere, if it were me, I certainly wouldn't leave till I got it.
I've found quite a few clinics don't want to know once you've had your surgery, so unless you stand up for yourself babe, you get nowhere.
Hopefully the letter will arrive by monday though xx

Exactly. If you have the reop hopefully thatll be the end of it and you won't always be wondering what the pips are doing. As for boob envy.. I dont think you realise how big your own are after a while lol x
