I've got a little problem! I've got systitis what should I do? My op is in 10 days but I can't take antibiotics Becouse im so close to op day help

what should I do ????

Sorry to hear this, I get it all the time. I would try drink loads of water and sometimes that helps. I sometimes leave it if it isn't too painful and it goes and the antibiotics you have after your op will clear it up. Xxx

You can get sachets of cystitus stuff from boots, that should help. Also drink loads of cranberry juice. Lots of water.

I used to suffer with this so badly, I had to go and see a specialist!

Drink lots of water and cranberry juice (Ocean Spray is best as it has a higher cranberry content than cheapy ones usually!)

I use to use this and have a bottle of standby at all times..

Don't both diluting it with water, just take it like you would a shot with the little plastic measure it comes with and it sorts me out in about 20 minutes, only a 2 day thing but carry on taking for the 2 days even if you think/feel like your out of the woods (it works fast!) because it'll stay cleared up for longer that way :-)

Oh no!!! Try what the girls are suggesting and see if that helps? Sorry, i'm lucky enough not to suffer with it so cant be of much help :(( x

I have had this several times before.... I find the cymalon the best cure. Call ur pcc and just check but I would think its fine to use this x X X

I'm prone to these big time. If you want to avoid antibiotics, buy some cystitis sachets at the drugstore like misf1 recommends, or what angellauren and AmyD recommend. Plus buy some cranberry capsules at Holland & Barrett, they're buy one get one half price on everything atm. Avoid too much sugar, this feeds the infection, cranberry juice is very sweet, so if you do buy some don't overdo it, and yes Ocean Spray one is nice. I used to buy some concentrated cranberry juice at the health food store. It was tart, didn't contain any sugar or sweeteners. I haven't been able to find any in the UK unfortunately, it was in Canada, so not much help, though if someone has seen this here before, that would be great. And drink loads of water. Hope you get rid of it in the next few days xxx

Why cant you have antibiotics?? Best to see GP asap. Antibiotics will clear any urine infection within 24-48 hrs. They work v quick.

Drink LOADs!! (like the other girls say)

Sometimes if you get it early and just drink loads (and pee loads) you can flush it out before it takes hold.

But at the same time, it might be better to talk to your pcc as if you have the infection still in 10days (that would be extreme cystitis!) they won't want to operate in case the bacteria travel to your boobies :s

YAAAAY!!!! It's gone god that was a quick spell of systitis lol needboobd i can't take antibiotics cos I'm so close to op date and I've been told I must be clear of all meds well over 2 weeks or more ..., I'm so pleased it's gone xxx

They are doing great Thanks, softening a lot now. my sports bra rubs the Scars making them a lil sore so I'm going to buy some dressings today. But beside that i love them, out of anything that could have gone wrong I don't mind my bra rubbing abit. Not long now till its your turn and ill be asking how your new boobs are settling in dance

Yeah I suppose it's true the bra rubbing is nothing compared to all the other things ! What size bra are you wearing now ? I'm worried my 545cc will be to be and look silly! Yep not long now just 1 small week tomorrow and I'll have bigger t!ts too lol xxx
