6 wk post-op asymmetrical ranting
I know that I was a bit asymmetrical before my op. But my deflated bags were smaller and it wasn't as noticable
I know that each breast is a separate operation. But I got them done on the same day and I want them to look gorgeous together!!
I know that unleashing them with my OH is different to me scrutinising them in the mirror. I sincerely hope he would never get his ruler/tape measure out like me !
One is rounder and firmer and sits lower on my chest than the other one, which is softer, with a lower nipple and sits higher up on my chest
It's too early to worry at 6 weeks, right? 6 months will reveal the final result, right?

Hiya sue, I have the same issue, looked at my before pics yesterday and one was lower than I thought. So I thought one had dropped but it turns out that one was lower pre op. It's not that noticeable and in a bikini you won't notice. My surgeon said it can take upto1 year for the final result. Xx

Hi Sue x i cant offer any post op experience but I would say that dropping especially happens ar different times and that migh make a difference to where your nipple sits? When is your follow up appt? Since you op have they always looked different or has the difference been more recent? Xxx

This is quite common hun, mine are not 100% symmetrical but no one has noticed apart from me. It's only slightly noticeable to me when my boobs are not in a bra otherwise you can't really tell. It's not something that's OMG HER BOOBS AREN'T SYMMETRICAL. They will improve but it will probably always be noticeable to you especially if you're scrutinizing. x

Re: 6 wk post-op asymmetrical ranting
A year sounds a long way off Nat4Andy but I've heard that too - patience <sighs deeply>.
Nepoly I don't have a follow up appointment as I had my ba in Brussels. I CAN have one if I feel like jumping on a plane or Eurostar. So I send my surgeon pics - apparently we could skype too but I'd feel a bit sordid! Sent some yesterday so am waiting to hear her opinion.
xplayboybunny you hit the nail right on the head with your comment :
OMG HER BOOBS AREN'T SYMMETRICAL.
That's exactly what I'm worrying about! In a bra/bikini I look fine, but it's the unleashing that worries me. On the other hand if someone's comparing one with the other when I get my girlies out I'm probably bestowing them on the undeserving .
Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone.

Re: 6 wk post-op asymmetrical ranting
Difficult for me to comment on this one without sounding like the doom and gloomy bugger isnt it ..... cos I ended up having revision surgery to have my lefty pocket lowered didnt I?!
I couldnt just say nothing tho Sue - cos would feel ignorant to your concerns.
Having said that we are all different and my problem was probably just bad luck for me - luckily an easy fix as it turns out too.

No one will even notice Sue, no body who's seen my boobs without a bra has ever said anything about my boobs not being symmetrical, it's only slight and I'm sure yours is the same. Try not to worry and focus on it x

Kat pls would you mind taking a look at my pics to give me your opinion about the likelihood of needing pocket revision? When did you know for sure that it would need intervention? I know I'm only 6 weeks out but would rather hope for the best and be prepared for the worst if that's what's coming... I'll pm you with my p'word and there's no rush of course. Thanks hun. x

Re: 6 wk post-op asymmetrical ranting
Sue, I definately think at six weeks its too early to know hon. I did a picture diary for myself and I can see there was difference from early on with me - but its likely yours still need to drop - as they do usually - in almost all cases. Think I was just a bit unlucky is all.
I totally get what you said "would rather hope for the best and be prepared for the worst if that's what's coming" Im like that. DF gets infuriated with me and says WHY worry till you KNOW there is something to actually worry about. But Im not good with bomb-shells, I need time to get my head around possibilities, even if they dont happen.
Of course I'll look at your pics if you'd like me to but really think things could change for you with no intervention at all. Waiting is an absolute killer isnt it ... am sure you've seen me struggling with that over lots of stuff lately! If only you could buy patience in a bottle eh?!?!
xx
