Sml Update pocket revision & mini tt
Hi
Two weeks post op today. Lefty looking better position-wise since the pocket was lowered, seems to have filled out the lower pole a bit more more. I think the swelling has calmed generally but the side is still puffy where the bruising was. Tried on a proper bra to see how I felt and its definately better. Not at the point where Im adding the emocions on this topic yet ... still a bit nervous of counting my chickens!
As for the mini tt ... well thats a difficult one. I knew before that there would be swelling, but perhaps not as much as there is considering i didnt need any muscle work done - but I feel very swollen, not just where the scars are. Feeling a bit like Ive been inflated and soooo horribly bloated. Some serious self-pity is going on I can tell you!
I could really do with a BB type forum but for TT's -its like a ghost town on that part of BB. Ive asked if anyone knows of one but no luck yet. Will have to carry on moaning and groaning at you lot then - soooreeeeee
xx

Hiya Kat. Glad to hear that your pocket revision has gone well and is healing nicely. I'm afraid I'm clueless when it comes to tummy tucks but sending (gentle) hugs your way and hope that the swelling starts to go down soon.
Moan and groan away x

Awwww Kat
My sister had the full tt as you know, she was bad for 5-6 weeks. Our bodies take ages to get rid of swelling.
Its not the same but after my 3rd c section S had to take 3-4 weeks of work as I was still hunched and sore (they also removed a little excess skin and old scars)
You trust your surgeon though? You must do you have let him operate on you twice now. So pull it together girlie your amazing!!!
Your just feeling rubbish, you have winky wonky boobies a sore swollen tum and you cant train but watch out Manchester because Kat is soon to return and this time more beautiful than before and I for one cant wait to meet her and when I do I will squeeze those boobies and slap that georgeous washboard tummy you will have xx

I like grumbling generally cos am a bit of a baby as I get older. Had 4 csection kids and never batted an eyelid .... you're so wrapped up in them that youre able to not think on scars etc arnt you. I know ... I need a doll ... will get on ebay. It will be a change from buying flat figure hugging Lipsy dresses (Ahm that's four since the 21st eeek) in anticipation
Went to bed with no binder on last night to see how I got on. STill sat in bed so far wondering how things will look when I get up. To be honest I'm avoiding looking (trying to anyway) so as to not get obsessed and stare-ey LOL.
I need a run sooooo bad !!

Re: Sml Update pocket revision & mini tt
update again - just had to ring PS - theres a bit at the end of lefty scar thats not right I dont think.
I know its new but theres this bit thats very hard and swollen more than the rest of it. Its not hot and only sore in so much as the whole boob area is a bit sore, its a little bit more tender to touch than it was the other day though.
It looks like there is fluid in it maybe? - could be quite normal again (origional scar had some white-ish fluid coming from it once at the very start, very small bit - only as much as a teardrop - and I was told it was completely normal but cant think of the name off the top of my head) .... but I didnt want to wait till my scheduled appt to check it out in case it is 'something' - not taking any chances this time!
So - got to see him in Tuesday - he said he's not overly concerned (phew) but would like to check.
tt swelling is better if I do absoltely bugger all - its killing me! - am not one for lazing about but I had a day of doing nothing on Tuesday and I could see it was less puffed up - but then I had to go and do tesco yesterday didnt i!?! (di*k) and so was in the dog-house when DF got back
Back to sitting on my bot today ....
Have added a new avi - you can see that its still pretty swollen but its getting better - at least with my keks on - with them off the scar is still pretty scary
Ive been advised by the lovely nurse that sooooon I can wear some better compression style keks so am thinking of treating myself to these ....

what you think? NOT to get married in (htf im back in my strings by then!)

If that's how you look when you're swollen you must be a bean pole when you're deflated Kat! Nothing worse than being told to do nothing when you're a busy bee by nature - but it's REALLY necessary unless you want to undo all that good work. You'll be running, hefting shopping bags about and leaping off the wardrobe in no time girl .

thanks mozelle - wedged myself into my jane norman shorts today which are pretty unforgiving at the best of times - i left the binder off and have heavy duty support tights on under them (sexy? ... NOT! ) cos DF is finishing work early and we're going out for a little bit so wanted to try and look nice. Will have the binder in my bag just in case tho

In'it! Going to have two birthdays from now one - one for me and one for the boobs. I've learned that a big handbag is essential post surgery - for painkillers, plasters, spare sports bras - the hidden costs of surgery, eh!

Re: Sml Update pocket revision & mini tt
I feel like Jekyl & Hyde .... am torn SO far between "well its getting there maybe" and "wtf have I done this for!" Am feeling sore tonight.
Ive read some stuff on the net from others who feel sort of similar in that in the morning they felt like things were improving but by evening time they felt swollen sore and bloated - so I know its normal but its hard not to be anxious.
I think Ive realised something else ... before the tt I held myself better posture-wise - stand up straight - hold tum in ... breathe in etc and I cant really do this at the mo. Imagine yourself standing in front of the mirror sticking your belly out as far as you can (like a child would pretending to have a big belly)- thats how it feels! all the time - i know there is nothing wrong with my muscles cos I didnt have anything done on them - I just think I cant hold myself well yet cos its too sore.
I know Im not eating more to make me feel bloated - I think thats the lack of exercise maybe?
ok - moan over ... for now

Re: Sml Update pocket revision & mini tt
Glad your t*ts are looking great Kat
Your posture will be fine again soon. You've been stretched a lot, so need to give it time to recovery. I remember looking like a big bellied huch back after the c-sections.
I feel a bit embarrassed to be getting a mini tt. A lot of people would be super happy to have what I have now, it already looks much better than average. But I'm comparing it to what I had before, and I'm not happy with it and there's nothing nonsurgical that'll improve it. I wouldn't be doing this if I hadn't had c-sections since the uneven scar and pouch albeit small is the problem. After my daughter I would have left it as is, they did a good job. After my son, I knew I wasn't happy with it within days. Got it revised on the NHS due to scar adhesions, it's still cr*p, but at least it gave me an idea what the recovery may be like. Sorry to highjack your post Kat, there's plenty on full tt, but very little on mini tt xxx

Re: Sml Update pocket revision & mini tt
Roxanne, sorry didnt reply to your msg - dont know how I missed it
I understand what you're saying about feeling embarrased about getting it done and also - to some extent - about thinking I dont really need it. Is a mini tt more about vanity than necessity? SO! <stamps foot in the manner of a two year old>
My problem was more than yours tho and as PS had said no amount of dieting or exercise would shift the lose skin (12cm was taken )caused by four pregnancies and dramatic weight loss - i decided I didnt want to live with that forever <eeeeek> For me it seemed that that problem part of me troubled me more after Id had the ba!
I would just like to look the best I can - thats not so bad is it ?
am adding a little (yeah right ) update here too ....
I cancelled my appointment with PS this morning.
(nat/angel - noooooooo! )
because the lumpy bit on the end of my scar has cleared off on its own. I had wanted to take NOOOO chances this time - which is why I rang and asked someone to check it out - but luckily its settled.
My next appointment to check out boob and tum is now 3rd April.
Everyday the boob looks better which I am very pleased about. Im very very VERY glad I had the re-op. Its so much better shape-wise, the lower pole is much fulller and rounded better at the side too. And as hoped the nip has shifted up because the pocket below is filled out - looks like righty now.
Im hoping some more tum swelling will have gone by then too. I had been thinking there was bugger all good to see results-wise from the tt. Its hard to focus on anything good I think when the scar is soooo scary.
I braved a bikini bottom try on before - well two actually - one Ive had a while - a string sided number and was surprised to see how well it looked even though you could see the scars a bit at the side ... and the other my lovely new lipsy white one which looked nice also but its lower cut at the front and so belly button is on show in that. Belly button isnt looking great - or not how Id hoped it would be should I say. I asked DF's opinion his least favourite thing to do for me of late I think cos Im such a critical cow of myself but even he had to agree that its not the best. Its not swollen much at all there now so cant see much changing in it. May have to have it tweaked again - but PS did say this was a possibility with the button. At least I could stay awake for that.
Cos I want to take much more care of the boobies this time round Im thinking that underwires can stay in the draw unless a dress-up occasion. Most of my going-out dresses wouldnt allow for bra wearing anyway and I think Id prefer it that way as it goes cos the wires do niggle me.
Anyone suggest some nice non-wired bras - dare I hope for pretty ones ... possibly even sexy? The ones I found previously were a bit blah. I know I saw one in a shop once but I cant for the life of me remember which shop (theres been lots of bra shopping )
xx

Happy to hear that your nips are in the right place! Maybe when the swelling has gone down your scars will stay hidden in the bikini briefs. Fingers crossed, eh!

I'm glad to hear you've had a successful revision
I've never liked wearing underwired bras full-time, and like to have an assortment of wired and underwired, though I've been wearing them more lately only because it's the only option I have to add padding so people don't notice any change. MozElle's given you a link to a couple of lovely bras.
I know it's not easy finding mini tt photos or info compared to full tt. I found this link which might interest you:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The first link shows mini tt without belly work, the second link photos of mini tt with belly work. It cheered me up because I found one that was very similar to me who had the same thing I'm having done, the first album in the first link, except I haven't got any stretch marks in that area :)
Enjoy your boobs, and being able to now go out braless

thanks roxanne - will have a look at them links in a mo - just been waiting for the teenagers to bugger off to bed (they dont know about any of my tweaks) and they are thinking of ANY excuse to keep nipping down!
Had to cancel shopping trip the other day but DEFINATELY going tomorrow with my lovely mammy so will have a look at them bras and try em on. Hopefully, if they have in my size anyway - can always order on line tho maybe.
Pants feeling back to normal today - got my skinny jeans on no prob - just a bit tender where the scar is. Fecking binder is a ... well a bind really
