Help with size of MaCom bra x
Hi Ladies,
Im just about to order my MaCom bra, but im not sure whether to go for the Small (32 back) or the Medium (34 back). Im currently a 32B, after having 380 overs (maybe), i think i may need the medium to accomodate for swelling etc.
Can anyone out there who has a MaCom bra comment on what they think?
Thanks xxx

Hi barbie girl, I looked on the size guide on the macom official website. It says that you should order your band size (e.g. if you're 32B order small) because the band size stays the same and the cups are expandable to allow for the change in boob size. Did you decide which model you want? The ones I like are out of stock :S

Hi xaxa, yeah I thought the code 1007 was nice in black. Just going to wear it to bed I think. Which one did you want that's out of stock? I also tried eBay but there's nothing much on there either.

Re: Help with size of MaCom bra x
I would say you need a small barbie girl.
I bought a medium and a small and the medium felt big on my even directly after surgery with the swelling (I was a 34F).
My boobs have settled at 32FF for now and I am still sleeping in my small MaCom as I love it, it's so comfy.

I used to be 32B and I bought a small macom.... at first felt very snug with the swelling but could have also been bcos I wasn't used to it BUT very comfy and glad I didn't get a medium as it would be too big for me now... the cups expand with your boobs, theyre great I wear mine all day and night x

Aww thanks ladies! Ive just ordered it online, went for the small one in black. Only looking for some cheap sports bras for during the day to change into, went to both asda and tesco today and neither of them had any 34DD sports bras!! Arghhh! I went on ebay and seen one that looks ok, a shock absorber one in white for about £6 i think it is, i might get that, not sure, but ideally i wanted a black one. Think ill need to go to tesco and asda online or something to get them. Actually just realised i havnt checked sainsburys yet either..
Cheers! xxx

Hi barbiegirl, it's good that you went for size 'S'. I guess you will be very excited when you receive it hehe!!! Will you try it on and let us know how sexy it looks pre-ba? The one that I like is out of stock and it's nr. 1010 (breast surgery bra with elastic base, adjustable frontal closure and fully expandable cups). I would go for the champagne colour (I know it's ugly but blood would be visible in case I bleed from the incision). Try looking on ioffer.com, they have a wider selection than ebay

Re: Help with size of MaCom bra x
I don't like white sports bras either but went for white ones in the early days as I would rather not pay full price for something I only wore for a week.
Also the nurse at the hospital said the classic shock absorber bra (N102) was the best quality bra she had put someone into in a while. She said the asda and tesco ones are not good enough.
Oh and Sains don't do sports bras, I checked when I was buying them as I live near one.

Re: Help with size of MaCom bra x
Well ladies that's my MaCom bra arrived today, fast delivery! The small is fine round my band, the cups seem quite tight, but it does say it will fit any cup size, so in hoping it does that, at the moment it looks like a tight squeeze!
I've been struggling to find "normal" sports bras in a 34DD, tried everywhere but I'm refuse to pay over £10 for each of them seeing as I don't really know what I'll end up with yet. So what I've done is went on eBay, ordered a cheap B109 shock absorber in a 34DD, description says white/slightly yellow, but for a fiver you can't go wrong and the pics look fine and it's brand new. I then ordered another B109 in Nude, a 32DD, and ordered bra extenders with 3 hooks in white, black and nude. So once I'm done I know the MacCom should be ok, and the other 2 I can have a play with on band width. If it turns out the cup is more than DD, I'll just order another cheap white B109 from eBay to see me through.
Hopefully that'll be me sorted now, phew! Just had no idea how difficult it would be to get cheap sports bras in my size!!

Aw that's good aurora, at least for the first few days if nothing else fits me ill always have the macom to fall back on.
When I tried the macom on this morning I thought the hooks were a bit tricky to get fastened up though, took me a while as they kept pinging back open lol!

They are tricky but you get used to them, I sleep in mine as it is the comfiest thing I have.
If it is feeling tight - once you have it on and done up put both hands behind your back on the bottom edge of the bra and pull it tight across your back and then use the excess material at the front. It takes the pressure off your boobs.
Also you may find that when your boobs are really new you have to use it on the looser hooks otherwise it feels like the bra is pulling them together which isn't comfy in the early days, at least that was my experience.

I took back the ones from asda, nurse didnt like them. I have the medium impact tesco one in a 36DD, did me fine for a few days when I was all swolen but now its too big on the band and too small cup, not enough support either, so only worth it if its cheap, I only paid £4.
I also have the high impact tesco one which I really like, very comfy but its a 34e and I could do with a 32f and they dont make that size.
I have the shock absorber Aurora says, I like it but it makes me feel pointy like I have torpedo's Also very high so I only tend to wear it with baggy covering clothes

You have a different shock absober to me honey - that is the B109 or something. The N102 is like a classic bra shape so I can wear it under my work shirts.
