Left boob fine, right one not.....
Hello ladies, I'm going through major paranoia here!!! Im day 5 post op.My left breast and underarm feels fine but the pain in my right breast like when I close my arm in is soooo sore!!! Pain goes into under my arm. This is also my bruised breast. Is this normal to feel? All part of the healing?? It seems to ease off now and then.
Sorry I'm such a worry head x

I agree Hun, you still have some swelling. I was very tender for the first couple of weeks. They say to treat it as two separate ops as each boob will recover and settle at different rates. Try not to worry sweet xxx

Hey sweet,
My surgeon told me to expect one boob to heal better than the other - i'm guessin ur right handed if ur right is hurting more (you are normally stronger on that side and so its effected that side more muscle-wise).
My Surg also said what Jojo said - they r two separate ops and so should be treated as such.
Happy healing sweet - it does get better day by day (tis worst me in the morn and my right hurts more than my left).
Hugs
Xx

Awww thank u ladies, honestly I'm such a stress head!!! I do agree I think I need to relax myself more because I don't think that's helping. Strange to say but I'm not sure if I preferred childbirth (mines was relatively easy) to this lol!!! But it's all for a beautiful outcome!! Xx

Try and relax the more you worry the more you will tense up and your muscles will tense up causing you discomfort. The discomfort can last a couple of weeks with unders, but it will get easier by the day. Days 4 & 5 are usually the worst as the strong meds they give you under GA are leaving your system (so you can feel it a bit more). Kepp on top of your pain meds, use an alarm every 4-6 hours to remind you to take them so they never run out and use icepacks to help relieve any pain or soreness. Muscles take 6 weeks to recover from soreness, so you may get niggles up until then. Usually after this you will experience nerve pain, which is just short sharp shooting pains, and these also decline in intensity as time goes on.
