Re: Rash due to implants?
I can't speak for boobs since I'm pre op. However, I used the sheets on my c-section scar, and the actual incision itself is brilliant, it's a very pale white thin line. I would massage it once completely closed up with e45 lotion and almond oil, not both at the same time, lol. You can get the oil at Holland & Barrett, it doesn't smell, and it's usually used a a carrier oil (oil base) to add essential oils to, but works brilliant on it's own for this purpose. You could also use grape seed oil or vitamin c oil, but these are more expensive.
I did ask my ps about the silicone sheets at my first consult, and he does recommend these. I also asked him about massage at our last one, he recommends this too. I didn't get more into it, and won't until post-op, but I wouldn't do any of these until you scars are completely closed, otherwise you risk infection. xxx

Re: Rash due to implants?
Thank you!!!!! I've e-mailed a nurse at transform and wiating for her reply about the silicone sheets, been to the doctors which was pretty pointless, they gave me hydrocortizone cream and antihistomines... said I may have a viral infection but just to come back. Didnt mention anything to do with boobs hmmm...
Scars are all closed up will try an get some almond oil today! Not even sure if it is the bio oil thats just the only thing I can think that has changed
xx

It may just be oil is blocking your pores. Maybe try something non oily like e45. Nothing will make your scars turn out any different. Things like bio oil, silver etc just speed up the process. The massage of the scars will help flatten them. Eat healthy massage scars and drink lots of water. Tea tree oil (a few drops in bath neat) helps skin as it's a disinfectant and loads more.
Re: Rash due to implants?
Yeah, the e45 is brilliant. It costs so little, doesn't irritate and is excellent for massaging. If you decide to buy e45, just make sure you buy the lotion though, not the cream, purely for consistency, the lotion is nice and runny for massages.
Just a sidenote, if you plan on using e45 or oil to massage as well as silicone sheets at the same time, just make sure to wash the lotion or cream off before putting the silicone on. Otherwise the silicone sheet won't stick, that's an expensive mistake to make! xxx

Re: Rash due to implants?
Is it an itchy rash? Or just red specks?
Also, have you done the tumbler test?! (I'm not worried about meningitis, but if it doesn't go away when you press it with the glass it's different to if it does )

Re: Rash due to implants?
Hi, also there are two types of hydrocortisone cream and some can help a rash while others make it worse :( x

Re: Rash due to implants?
I've been back twice and they just gave me a different cream... trying this greek insect cream I have it seems to be making them less red... so will see how that goes at the moment!
The tumbler test... It has to be a dishwasher washed one doesnt it? Or did I imagine that?
Its kind of itchy... but only when I itch it, get redder if I put heat on it (hot water bottle). Not too annoying just doesnt look very nice.

lol, I don't think it has to be tumbler washed!
What implants did you have? Do PS's still wash the implants before they put them in? I'm sure i read with the Allergan ones that they shouldn't but other implants might be rinsed with iodine or something. In which case it could be a reaction to that??
