Which Post-op Bra? Empty Which Post-op Bra?

Hi Ladies

Need some post-op advice on bras. What kind of bras should i get? I was told at my consultation not to get sports bras as you dont want to squash them to your chest. So i was looking at non-underwired support bras. Should i look for front fastening? Also, is it more comforatable to get ones with a wide band underneath the boob?

Has anyone found any post BA ones with a nice pattern on? Or do we all have to wear the ones that our Nan's would buy!!?

And finally! What size? Im usually a 34B and hoping to go to a D. Should i buy DD to allow for swelling?

Thans, Vicks xx

Hi Vicks,

I went to a private surgeon in Manchester and he actually put me in a bra. I had bought loads of sports bras too but I keep going back to putting his one on. its not the sexiest but because I find it gives me more support than any of the other sports ones i bought and I feel more comfortable in it.

I have found them on the net. Here's the link:

I posted a similar thread that might help:

I have bought a shock absorber off eBay and also a couple of second hand MaCom bras.

Thanks, thats brilliant info. I searched the site for "Bra" and nothing came up!

Im gonna do a bit of research now on the Genie, Macom and the Z bra. I'll also have a mooch around the department and superstores in the week. Hopefully, i'll find some cheap ones that will do the job and maybe a couple of special ones on ebay.
