help! got a blister under dressing, now gone red-
hi, 4 days post op and the blister comin out from my foam pad dressing has turned red inside- think its the skin at the back and not blood, but am freaking out! hoping its not infection.....anyone had similar? it appeared 2nd night and ps told me to burst it with sterile needle. then it refilled and nurse yest said not to worry it will self absorb. but now its red am gettin worried it might infect, or whole boob might infect ....i am one to think worse...like havin to have an implant removed, think its cos i cant quite believe how happy i am with them. uggggh ...rang hospital they tryin to see if i can go to a nuffield closer to me, if not looks like a trip to plymouth....
please let me know if you had similar?? thanks! xx

hiya jangledania, really sorry you are having probs so early.
I have an abscess which was a blister at first, I am 4 months post op, but I know what you are going through.
I think all will be ok, best wishes. xxx

thanks girls, went to hospital, all fine! am very pleased with nuffield...my op was plymouth cos thats where my preferred surgeon is, but they arranged for me to go to taunton to get checked today as it's much closer. they took a swab to send away but said its all clear fluid so likely to be fine, and did a white blood cell count which was normal so apparently i'm not fighting any infection. got lots of reassurance and came home to rest- think i just did too much yesterday. lesson learnt!
i'm not good when i'm so tired- i panic at slightest thing!
thanks for support xx

I'd put money on you being allergic to the dressing... the exact same thing happened to my friend who had her BA this year.. she came out in fluid-filled blisters too. They changed the type of dressing and she healed fine. She is absoutely 100% fine now - she wasn't left with scarring from the blisters. Keep an eye on it hun x
