Dressing or Bra??
At my pre op this week the nurse told me i would be put straight into my sports bra wen i wake from the op as this helps to reduce how much it will swell. I've seen a lot of you say you was in your dressings for days before you had a sports bra on???
Has anyone else been put straight into there sports bra after op???

Re: Dressing or Bra??
Yes, the nurse helped me into mine when I came round sufficiently after the GA to struggle into it. I think it depends on the clinic and also on which placement you chose hunnie

Re: Dressing or Bra??
I have been told that when I wake, I will already be in mine and to wear one 24/7 for 6 weeks. But I guess you need to go by what your surgeon says. I will have steri-strips and dressings and then the bra on.
Not long to go now :)

Re: Dressing or Bra??
i woke up in my bra too hun... also have a strap around the top of my boobs to keep them from coming up too high apparently!! and i have a velcro stretchy binder type thingy on top of that aswell! so its very tight and restricted but im having a re-dress and wound check on saturday and after that my surgeon said i will only need to wear the sports bra then!! that will be a massive relief!!! lol xx

You lucky girls, I woke up bandaged up like a mummy over my boobs, but thankfully no sticky tape. Only had to keep it on a day then it was into a sports bra for 6 weeks

Thanks sweetie, I'm very excited. I'm so glad i've been able to read and talk on here, it has basically answered every question i had and i know what to expect after, i think i would have totally freaked out after my op if i hadn't been on here first.
