scar hot and stings

Hey girls,
I am now 10 days post opp and are experienceing a lot of stinging on my scar under my right boob, was meant to have 10 day post opp today but got a **naughty word** belly and fealing very sick, i know i dont have a infection, but would it hurt to have a bath now and soak my scars, also put some cream on them, x

At 10 days post op i didnt put anything on my scars.. not even water, wasnt allowed until 14 days!! I had nipple incision, but my scars did sting for a month to be honest! I would hold out putting anything on them until you see your surgeon etc :) x

Ty for your reply lhb, at what time did ya tape get taken of yours, ive rung and told mine im to sick today to go to my 10 day post opp so waiting on another appointment

my boobies felt hot at certain points, the stinging is probably just the nerves coming back to life and healing (fortunately i didn't experience this as mine were numbed to shi*t the whole recovery) but i'd def not get them wet at all until they're TOTALLY healed (or at least not soak them - bathwater can certainly cause infection) you wouldn't want to deal with that scar hot and stings 321562

i had my tape and stitches removed on day 14 :) x

I wouldn't soak them in water until they are healed or until atleast your ps says so as it can cause infection. Defo no creams yet either, the scars need time to naturally heal. im 10days po and have the stingy feeling with the incisions.
