Capsular contracture?! Please help!
Hi ladies, not been on here in ages as i have been sooo busy but i really need some advice. My left boob has always been higher and firmer than the right and due to my hellish few months i missed my 6 week po check. Over the past 2/3 weeks i have started getting a really bad dull, throbbing pain in that boob too. I was trying to ignore it but yesterday and today the pain is really unbearable. You can only really see the difference well if i am lying down when the lefty stays high and firm and the righty falls nice and softly to the side. I am worried it may be cc but know nothing about it! Is it too early to get cc? If it is what happens next? I'm in to see ps tonight but going crazy with worry here

did your PS say to do massage after the op? do you know about pockets and whether you had two different size ones for any reason-i.e. one boob bigger, tighter on one side?
All I can think is that maybe massage to increase the size of/soften the pocket may have helped in the first three months... but overs are known to cause more risk of CC so best to see your PS when you can, to get it nipped in the bud babe...it's not unders so the muscle isn't really the issue here... it'd be the pocket prob, no stress  .... if symtoms persist..see you doctor! xx

Yeah i have been massaging since i had them and i didn't have different sized pockets. It's the pain i'm worried about, could that be caused by anything else?x

Dr Revis (my surgeon) says that healing of all the tissues in the breast..nerves etc..will take up to a year to settle fully, so maybe that's the case.. ..But I would take a big... calm ....breath, relax.... and go to your PS with the knowledge that what ever happens is treatable. No stress, seriously. You'll be fine. Let us know how you go, I'll be thinking of you..xxx
