I've got serious Pre op Tension!!!

Hi everyone , i've got 6 days before my BA and i am sooooo stressed out! I'm losing my temper with everyone and everything at the moment. Has anyone else felt like this leading up to their op? Or am i just completely insane. I know i should be happy and excited , which i am , but i also feel like i have a severe case of PMT (i've not long finished my period so its not that!). Just want this week to be over and done with now!xxx

I can understand what you are feeling and I feel for you. Its such a nervous time wiating and they closer it gets the worse you will get. On the day you will be extra nervous but will wake up relieved and excited. Its is such a circle of emotions because usally at some point in the healing process you will have a few bad days too! It sucks but once you everthing has settled it will be worth it!

I think because we wait so long and then the countdown gets closer, it becomes more 'real' so nerves kick in which can make us tetchy and any little thing can make us snap. Im sure you will be fine in a day or twos time. x x x x x x

Thanks girls xx Will try to keep myself busy over next couple of days i think and hopefully it will pass quicker lol Feel like i'm nesting like before going into labour with my children too, feel the urge to clean everywhere! Probably because i know i wont be able to afterwards and i am a bit obsessive with keeping house tidy and clean xx

I had the same thing before my BA. Its perfectly normal! Try not to stress too much about it and do some of the things that you enjoy to take your mind off things. In my case it was a combination of nerves and a fear of the unknown.

I have felt exactly the same sweet. I've a actually become very quiet & I have to say a bit withdrawn to the point where hubby has to keep askingif I'm ok,& what on earth is the matter with me! I just havent been able to stop thinking about anything else.

Its funny you mention the nesting instinct, I spent all day yesterday blitzing the place, doing all the washing & ironing & changing the beds. Even mentioned to mum that anyone would think I was having a baby!!! Lol.

Well, I've woken up & today is the day. I do feel nervous but also resigned to the fact it is today and so relieved also - just want to get on with it now! It's only natural to feel the way you do Hun. You'll soon be there & have the most amazing boobs! Take care Hun xxx

Awww babe I think this happens to everyone, I have 13 days to go and I've already had a few break downs :( I sobbed myself to sleep the other night, was horrible, it's just the nerves kicking in I'm sure....try and keep yourself busy Hun and just think of those great boobies you will wake uP with :) good luck with Mr M....look forward to hearing your story as he's doing me in less than 2 weeks! Hi Hun I did exactly the same with the nesting and I was the same as you before my op. It was my birthday the day before and I was awful reused to go anywhere do anything or see anyone lol. You'll be ok huni it'll soon be over with.

It's totally natural just try to keep busy and as hard as it is really try and forget ur having them done! I has the distraction of being on holiday the week I had mine done so maybe as its half term plan some things to do with the kids xx

Yea that's what i've been doing Nikita trying to keep as busy as possible lol. Although apart from Ruby my son and older daughter are 13 and 16 so not really into doing a lot with mum during half term hehe. I've just been straightening my eldest daughters hair and helping her get ready for a date tonight so thats kept me busy this afternoon and Ruby always keeps me on my toes haha xx Feel a bit more chilled out today actually so hopefully will stay that way :)) xx

Hiya annaliese, i was the same - totally all over the place in the couple of weeks before, but then I suddenly felt so calm when it was actually time. I knew how right it was for me, knew how much better it would make me feel about myself. I was nervous about the actual procedure, the GA and recovery but genuinely i felt so much better when the time actually came.

I think a lot of the stress we feel could be down to impatience - if you anythin like me anyway haha I've got serious Pre op Tension!!! 199385

Hi Kat I am getting quite impatient now yes!lol. I have always been unhappy with my boobs since i realised they were not gonna grow any bigger age about 15/16 so have waited 20 years for this and since finally booking my op in August this year i have been so impatient and the tetchiness got to an all time high about a week ago although i think i am beginning to chill out a little today:) How are you feeling after your surgery? xx

Am mostly ok, a little creaky. On the whole there is nothing I would say to you I'm feeling that would put you off - no pain no gain an all that I've got serious Pre op Tension!!! 184153

Think if you open minded about how you will feel/look its easier. This forum has helped me with that - massively.

I thought of somethin else after I posted to you - about reasons for being tense - and I thought some of it with me was guilt ... I felt guilty about the thoughts I had about what would happen to my family if anythin bad happened to me, about my vanity and also about the money. As it got nearer I forced myself to stop thinking stuff like that - sometimes with the help of wine it has to be said I've got serious Pre op Tension!!! 199385

- because I know we had talked over all these concerns before (over and over and over a bit more) and I could dismiss them really.

I think you've got a good point with the guilt thing Kat. I know i am slightly guilty about leaving my baby girl (18 months ) for the night and i know that even when i get home im not gonna be able to give her proper hugs for a while so i feel bad about that and like you said the money!! But i know i gotta stop thinking like that cos after wanting boobies for 20 years ( I had consultations 5 years ago and was gonna book surgery then but then i separated from my husband and it just didnt happen, my Dr also tried to get referral because even he felt sorry for me but they would only do it for assymetry so no go there :() I know i have every right to do this for myself so as of today the guilt stops lol xxx
