Booking nerves!
Hi guys,
I went for my consult with Mr Adamo on thursday at MYA. It was totally different to the one at Harley Med, I just had a gut feeling - it just sort of clicked that this is definitely the surgeon I want. He was very professional and made me feel really at ease, which was great, and he seems a really nice man as well. I think it's important that you feel comfortable with your surgeon, just in case worst comes to worst and you have to see him again for a re-op or something. So, I decided there and then that I wanted to go with MYA. I did want to pay my deposit at the time as well because then I wouldn't give myself time to worry about booking if that makes sense? But then I realised at the last minute that I'd forgotten to transfer funds into my account to pay with! Now I am getting nervous about booking! I just need to bite the bullet and do it, I know, It's just really nerve-racking, when I pick up the phone it really will be the point of no return and it will all become so much more real and scary!
Anyone else have booking nerves? I'm 100% sure I want to do it, just having trouble picking up the damn phone!

Re: Booking nerves!
I did!
I knew my surgeon was the man I wanted for the job, I knew I loved my clinics aftercare policy, and I knew I wanted a BA.... but something just wouldn't let me book.
It was almost too final. Like al my years of researching, of consults etc would all be over! I'm glad I finally booked though, it's been 8 months now (I think) and it was the best decision I made!
You can do it! If you 100% trust your surgeon and you know surgery is right for you then just make yourself dial the number... that's what I did!

Re: Booking nerves!
I posted about this when it was time for me to book too! I think it's because once it's booked it suddenly becomes a reality and feels like there's no going back - bit scary (and all that money too..). I felt so much better when I'd done it tho, and actually began to feel excited. Think about the reasons why you want to do this, that helped me. Go for it girl!

Don't worry Jess you're not the only one, not only did I have booking nerves I had booking consultation nerves also! Once I'd picked up the phone and done it I expected to worry and wonder if I'd done the right thing, but I didn't and I think that's because I knew I had found the right PS for me. If you have found 'the one' go for it hun, you'll be so pleased when you've done it xx

Re: Booking nerves!
I was the same too Jessica, if you're sure that's the right place and surgeon just tell yourself you can always cancel within the next 7/14 days and get your deposit back (pretty sure MYA do that policy too?) that should then make you less nervous about booking, give you time to get used to it and then I'm pretty sure you won't want to cancel anyway! That was the psychology I used on myself anyway

Re: Booking nerves!
I felt relieved, no more researching about surgeons, no more worrying about decisions and choices, all that's left to do is to look forward to when it's all done and you can wear lovely lingerie and clothes! x

Re: Booking nerves!
I was relieved actually. I could concentrate on getting myself ready for the op, both physically and emotionally.

Re: Booking nerves!
Jess, I was completely the same hun, I think its completely normal. Once I had put the deposit down, I did panic a bit on the way home lol thinking omg its final Iv booked it but then I began to think I have wanted this done since I was a teen, I have found a surgeon with whom I have 150% faith in so what am I worrying about. Its so normal to feel nervous hun, but trust me once you have done it you begin to feel like youve moved a step closer to getting your new boobies and I began to feel even more excited. Im counting down the days, but July 29th is just not coming quick enough for me lol. Good luck hunni xxx

Re: Booking nerves!
To be honest I am more worried about how I will feel after the op, I know once I have had them done I am going to feel gutted that my boobie journey will have come to an end lol have enjoyed researching about the BA and meeting different surgeons, it has been a great experience for me so far. Let us know when youve booked hunx xx

Re: Booking nerves!
God yes, I had really bad booking nerves, but I feel so much better now it's all paid for. I think making a proper commitment to the procedure really clears your mind. For me, since doing that, the excitement has kicked right in!!

Re: Booking nerves!
I paid my deposit on Tuesday, as soon as i put the phone down i felt sick and cried! Not because I didn't want to go ahead with it - I'm really excited - I think it's the thought of the actually surgery. I've been feeling better about it the last two days, but I think when I pay the final balance next week I'll feel exactly the same. I think I could also be feeling like this because I've not had the consultation with my surgeon yet???
