Booking nerves!
Hi girls,
Just having a really hard time picking up the phone to actually book the darn thing now!! Had my consult, really happy with the surgeon, even arranged my hubby to take time off for childcard duties. Not sure why but keep delaying picking up the phone to actually book it! Getting butterflies and all sorts (and also all that money going is a bit scary!)
Did everyone else have this too? I know I want to go ahead but just feel paralysed with fear (ok that's a bit dramatic!) but it's like once I've paid my deposit I will actually have to have it - but I do really want to do it, help! Aaaaaaaaaaargh!
xx

Re: Booking nerves!
I booked it after my consult when I was still at the clinic so I didn't have the "phone butterflies" but I understand how you feel - just have a good talk to yourself hun, go over the reasons why you wanted this in the first place, and how you would feel if you didn't go ahead: relieved or gutted? it's easier to imagine we don't really want something when we are actually only scared of making a decision... good luck !

Re: Booking nerves!
I feel exactly the same littlemisstiny, I am seeing Mr Singh tomorrow for a second consultation, my dads coming with me as he is going to book it. I am nervous as once the whole balance is payed tomorrow, its final lol . Its scary but like you said, I really want it too, we should just think its one step closer to having them done lol weve got over the hard bit of deciding which surgeon and which company to use, now it should be plain sailing up until a few days before our surgery when we will have butterflies all over again lol

Re: Booking nerves!
Hi Hunni
Only you can decide to take the plunge and book. It's a big decision to make. Don't think too much about the money ... yes it is a lot of money, but it is just that ... money. And you only live once!! What should help you decide is whether you can live happily with your boobs as they are. Once I'd made my decision to go for it, there was no going back, so I was like moonmar and booked on the day of my consultation.
Good luck babe, with whatever you decide.
Maria

I know this feeling! I knew it was what I wanted 100% but for some reason I was more nervous about actually bookng then the op itself!
If you're sure it's what you want then go for it, I don't think any of us post-oppers have ever looked back!

Aw!! Well Done LMT!!! Think it is the 'emotions' kicking in, and a little bit of guilt? being a mum we all have it.. it is normal but a happier mummy is soo much better. I am soo pleased you have taken another step forward. Think how soon you will have those boobies.. maybe a 'ticker' might help you? Keep focused, and enjoy the journey.

Re: Booking nerves!
Hey LMT, i can understand your nerves!
Mine is booked for October, ages away!
I was excited booking it, but sometimes I feel soooo scared when i think whats guna happen, its 1 thing talking about it and planing it but a whole different thing going through with it.
I am worried i ll back out.
Also like you said-the money! i haven t got kids, but I am planning rhinoplasty and a BA, and keep thinking with that money I could marry my fiance, or have 3 amazing holidays, or have my new kitchen and bathroom!
But new boobs will make me happy, which does make a difference to your family if that makes sense?
Also if you cancel a month before op you can get your deposit back, though your are having yours in a month arent you?
How long have you wanted this? Just do whats right for you. xx

Re: Booking nerves!
When I had that call back to tell me my finance was accepted, I had major butterflies in my stomach! I couldn't believe it, it was finally going to happen. I had it when I booked aswell. But I never hesitated booking, I knew i was doing the right thing (although I did have doubts a couple days before, but that was cos I was scared!). xxx

Re: Booking nerves!
Thanks for asking - I'm still waiting but just had an email saying Simon Withey is going to email me with some answers to my questions soon, so.........hopefully I can book tomorrow.
Just wanted to check that I can honestly achieve a good result as he did point out the limitations for me in terms of disguising the implant, as I have quite thin skin and "deflated" breasts(!).. Think I understood that if I am careful not to go too big the implant won't be obvious but I just wanted to check I'd understood this correctly.
Scary but exciting, hope he gets back to me soon cos I can't stand the wait much longer!

Oh LMT It is a bit scary taking that final jump but once you have done it you will feel better as it seems its what you really want. I was the same - just something about calling and giving my card details.....all that money...subjecting myself to pain.......worry.......BEST THING I EVER DID!!! I hope you get your call soon and your questions answered. Lets us know how your going.........xx

Re: Booking nerves!
Thanks, feeling much better as my surgeon called me at home last night (8pm poor guy!) to have a chat and answer my questions - he was really nice and said I should have a good result so I'm feeling reassured.
Only thing is I now can't get through on the phone to officially book it! Sent them an email so fingers crossed they'll get back to me today.
Your comments all helped me girls to take the plunge xx

Re: Booking nerves!
Hi ya.
Well done for booking it hun. I was exactly the same. I had the first consult & came away feeling great. I booked a second consult & the actual surgery 2 days later and was fine up until about 2 weeks. I'm having the op on the 28th April and have been so scared about it that I kept delaying paying the remainder & was coming up with just about every excuse under the sun to not go ahead! The idea of committing myself was making me feel sick with nerves! This is all I have wanted since I stopped breast feeding my first child three years ago! Anyway, I have now paid up & I feel so much happier & I am really looking forward to getting my new boobs! Hooray.xx
