Post by bronzewolf 29th September 2011, 4:50 pm

Hi girlies, so today was my long awaited consultation with Dr Zaccheddu, very nice gentleman, not bad looking either..haha.
He basically said that he will go for 410 even 460cc unders, so im unsure as to what is best
My BWD is 14.5cm and when i look at the CUI catalogue those CCs are well under my BWD, he did tell me a bit about what it meant if you choose an implant 1cm smaller than your BWD but it all went over my head damn! i wish i could remember things.
I have to trust that he will do the right thing. I showed him lots of pics and said i dont want to look ridiculous

Im only 5ft, I dont want to look too top heavy. What do you suggest. Any girls out there petite like me??? which should i go for?

thanking you all in advance x

Went for my consultation :) need a bit of advise 204135 try not to get overwhelmed by all the terminology, and if you dont trust your surgeon, find a different one! i let my PS choose everything; the incision, the type of implant, the size, the placement, and he did a fab job!!

1cm less than your BWD plus your own tissue of at least a pinch of 1cm (with a B cup already I'm sure you have this. Means you implant will fill your breast and your breast tissue will fill the rest of your breast width meaning the implant will be very well hidden.

I did the same as you, let my PS choose everything, and so far so good. Glad to know I wasn't the only one that went that route of letting the PS choose everything. I figure he's the pro...this is not his first walk down titty lane, so I'm sure since he's seen mine, he's seen them before and done a wonderful job :)

hiya Divadust, i was really impressed with the place those chandeliers are gorgeous, that coffee machine was fab i have a lovely hot choccy, the PCC was not pushy and had time for me when i began chatting with her. I think Dr Zacchaddu explained very clearly to me what he was going to do, drew me a diagram, i thought i needed a lift on the one breast but he said if your gonna go that route then you will have scarring and you would have to drop to 270cc, which defeated the purpose of going bigger really, he was very confident answered all my questions, looked at the 7-8 pages of boobies i brought with me (poor guy) and to the point! Everyone was very polite and smiley, very impressed so far :)

The % of things going wrong is very low, and most times its temporary. Its normal to think of the worst but we cant let fear stop us from experiencing things in life. I cant tell you what to decide, you have to do whats best for you to enjoy your life. I dont "need" to have this done, but im having a mid life crisis and i think what the hell, life is to be enjoyed, before i know it i will be too old for anything sexy, my boobs are only going south so ok i can plump them up a bit and enjoy being sexy for a while. When i realised that they are not forever i also though ugh! but the madams here are right, have a little boobie fund. Isnt that why we work hard? Dont pressurise yourself, maybe its not the right time for you if there is much doubt in your mind. Maybe next year you will be clearer about your wants x

there is not that much between the sizes, but you might need slightly bigger for width, your surgeon will know what's best for you and everyone gets different results.

Can I ask what you mean by being covered for 3 years, and what this cover is exactly? I'm having the inspira so the implants are lifetime cover anyway but my clinic don't have a cut off date for covering anything even with the cui's I'm pretty sure.

Bronzewolf, I had 2 consults and the second surgeon looked at them and suggested a larger implant than the first, was worrie about the size I would be as I really can't carry off too big, but I've just had to put faith in him that he will give me what I showed him. We'll both find out in 12 days!

Hi bronzewolf, I'm very petite and boney as you can see in the avatar and all 4 surgeons I've been to have recommended something between 250cc — 280cc under the muscle. But remember you're 34B so you're starting with bigger boobs than me. Also, depends how much skin you have and the look you wish to achieve. I asked for a natural look.

the only thing that is covered is the implant for a lifetime so if your implant ruptured you will get free implants only which cost roughly between 100 and 400 pounds, you have to pay the rest of the costs yourself and it costs extra to have implants removed. Your clinic will cover you for between 1 - 5 years depending who you go with for complications so they will only give you a free re op within that time scale. After that you have to pay for everything yourself, which is why we suggest a boobie fund.

They wiil cover grade 4 and 5 cc and with any other complication you will have to get the surgeon and clinic to agree to a free re op. Some companies are better than others for agreeing re ops

It looks like I am covered for 5 yrs, but this was something else I hadn't even thought of, I wish they could give you this info on paper when you have the consultations. I will make sure I check this with my oc next week. Thanks for the heads up.

ps I take it a boobie fund is basically a savings account in case a reop is needed?
