Arrggg sports bra dilema
So I've been scouring the shops (and internet) trying to find another a sports bra in my size which is becoming an impossible task as I'm a 32 band and most places only start at 34, let alone do bigger cup sizes! I've done 3 different Tesco stores, Primark, Asda, M&S, LaSenza. Today I went into Debenhams they have a sale on, saw some gorgeous bras, had to restrain myself and keep telling myself don't waste you're money you can't wear them yet, and by the time I can wear them they won't fit!, after steering myself away from the pretties, I got to the pathetically small sports bra section they had probably 4 different styles of shock absorber, that was it! and not a good selection of sizes either, they weren't the styles I wanted and I certainly wasn't going to pay £37 for one! I already have one of their Gorgeous ones but wanted a different style, so went off to Truimph, as I rather like the look of their Tri Action range. Tried 2 different styles on and got fitted, both felt good but the extreme had more support so went with that, BUT I've come home and tried it on and now I'm not sure it fits! I'll try and explain, I've still got altered sensitivity on my breasts and today I've been given the all clear to say goodbye to my strap (although I can and will wear it for a few hours each day for support and to continue to help the implants drop) When I put the bra on at home the edge of the bra (bit by the cleavage) felt tight and I thought it would probably rub after a while and dig in, I kept it on for a few minutes and it left a mark, now I haven't had this problem with my other bra (same size) but I've always worn it with my strap so the bra has never been in contact with my skin there (hope this is making sense) I don't know what to do, I don't want to start wearing it and it rub and hurt and then I can't take it back. Do I need to go up a cup size? I didn't feel the problem in store, probably because my boobs had gone numb from walking around for an hour (they do that when I've been upright for a while ) The bra looked like it fitted really well, but obviously the fitter didn't check that area, I wasn't obviously popping out/4 boob look, and I'm wondering if as I'd only just removed my strap by the time I'd got home and boobs had plumped out from being squished?? Does it sound like I need the next cup size up??

Re: Arrggg sports bra dilema
Well that strap was obviously doing something because my usual bra is now doing the same thing, rubbing/digging in/irritating the cleavage/tops of boobs. So the strap was acting as a barrier between my skin and the edging of the bra, albeit the strap was stuffed with cotton wool so as not to irritate my skin. Had the strap off all day and my boobs have hurt more a)because of my sore skin and b) because my boobs move more without the strap. I guess I'm going to have to go back to Truimph and try on the next cup size but if that's too big I'll have to pad the edges of the bra out with cotton wool, like I did with the strap, as all the dressings/gauze the nurse gave me just irritate me skin too what a palava! I hope this altered sensitivity sunburn/sore skin feeling resolves soon.

Re: Arrggg sports bra dilema
It should all start feeling less sensitive soon, I never did manage to get a good sports bra other than my Debenhams gorgeous one, I think sports bras are the hardest to get to fit right.
I did find though that when I got the next cup size up, it fitted in a similar way but the cups went a little bit higher on my chest, and it felt much better on the top edge bit that your talking about. So I'd suggest you do try a bigger cup size. x
