Seroma??
Hi,
Well my right boob much worse today really distorted and even higher up. I've been on google images and it looks like seroma. Clinic shut now so I'm going to wait until the morning and then phone and ask to see someone. I saw my ps on a sunday for my consultation so hoping he's there.
Anyone else had seroma? How do they treat it? And is everything ok now?

Re: Seroma??
Hi, seen mr Clarke at transform who was lovely and confirmed I have a build up of fluid around my right implant (seroma) :( he asked if I'd eaten and I told him I'd had toast at 8.30 and 2mints at 1pm. He said because of the mints he didn't want to take me to theatre today and as I'm Mr Netri's patient I would be better seeing him. He's on holiday until wednesday so I have been told to eat before 6 am on Wednesday and ne there for 10 incase he wants to operate. Mr clarke also said that Mr Netri may prefer to play the waiting game and see if my body absorbs the fluid on it's own.
My question is do I have a choice? I don't really want to play the waiting game my boob is painful and ugly. Also I go on my delayed honeymoon on boxing day so don't want to look like this then :(

Re: Seroma??
Im terrible, if that was me with the seroma I would refuse to move till they fixed it for me!
If he said its safe to leave you then it must be as I dont think they would be silly enough to put you in danger but again I wouldnt be happy about it and if it was me I would go to my local A & E and get a second opinion just to be sure there was no risks.....

Re: Seroma??
Arggghhhh! Spoke to hospital to confirm being on mr netri's list on Thursday and I was told yesterday to be there for 10 now I've been told to call them at dinner and they will tell me when to go in after speaking to mr netri because his list us 'quite full'. So frustrating!!!

Re: Seroma??
It sounds like you are being trated so badly. I would be furious now, you have paid your money and you have a problem!!!
They need to deal with this now hun I think its time you start demanding, do you live far away? Im sure they wouldnt like it at all if you appeared in person and raised your concerns at the reception in frount of there waiting new clients.
Best of luck (This has made me very angry)...
Please could you keep us updated, I am very concerned xxx

Re: Seroma??
Hi peggysue,
Thank you for your kindness it means alot. I'm normally the kind of person that doesn't like to make a fuss and seem never to be able to stand up for myself when it comes to doctors. I was told I wasn't in labour with my daughter because I didn't look in enough pain she was born 70 mins later and 9lb 11oz with no pain relief after they ignored me all the way though my pregnancy when I said she was a big baby. But that's another story.
Back on track now I'm going to call transform tomorrow and tell them at the very least I want a definite time on Thursday. I have 3 kids, 2 at school and a baby so I have childcare to sort out. Not to mention transport and my husband booking time off work etc.
Part of me can understand that they want mr netri to see me as I'm his patient but the more I think about it the more wound up I get. I'm fed up of being told different things from different people!
Ive been doing all this from my mobile so tomorrow I'm going to log on on my computer and try and post some pictures.
Well I've had my rant which has made me feel a bit better for 5 minutes lol. I'll update tomorrow when I've spoken to transform.

Re: Seroma??
Lauren,
My only concern would be waiting for your safety. Mr Clarke is certainly a competent doctor, I would ask that if Mr netri can't see you on Thursday, to schedule a time with mr clarke.
Hopefully this will all work out and by Thursday you body will have absorbed the fluid!!
please keep us updated~
